I am also curious. I am getting a LS swap in my 95 civic coupe next week. I will have a AEM cold air, DC sports 4-1 header, Carsound Cat and Apexi WS exaust. I can't wait to get my car back!

hey all i got is intake and exhaust too. i ran a 15.2 in pretty good weather(about 45-50 degrees) on a slippery track. so maybe you should shoot for that mark. here's what my timeslip looked like:

60'-2.3
1/8- 9.8
mph-72.5
1/4-15.2
mph-89.4

as you can see my 60 foot wasn'tall that great but the track is slippery and i had old crappy tires on there. i coulda ran maybe a 15.1 that night if i had better stuff. and also this was on worn out back shocks so my car squatted hard. i saw it on camera and my exhaust nearly hit the track.

all i got in my ls is intake and 2 1/4 straight pipes straight to the muffler. no resenator or cat. emmisions aren't too strict over here so i went for it. i also have a computer built by pyr. i can probably run a 14 now b/c my clutch was also slipping back then and i swapped it out for an ACT street clutch setup and it grabs hard.

nope stock clutch slippery clutch when i ran. i impressed myself also. that night was good b/c i got nearly 9 runs in. started the day out with 15.5's then my car just started doin awesome. the beginning of the day i was only expecting 15.7's but did much better. it was definitely not a lucky run either b/c i ran 3 15.2 passes. car was completely stock except for the intake exhaust and pyr ecu.

That's unbelievble for an LS with just those mods. Was your car stripped or anything? Props to you.

Dont hear estimates from us and expect to run them, always expect lower than what you think...if that makes sense. With that setup I can imagine mid to low 14's.

Man, I wanna know how many of you people dont know the difference between a GSR and an LS. Lol, I have a 95 LSS, I weigh in at 2650 with me in it. DAC intake, no power steering, stock exhaust manifold, completely upgraded fuel system, flow bench ported intake manifold, test pipe, stock res. and piping, N1 muffler, and an extrememly trick ECU (lets just say when i finish my other engine, I'll rev to 10 grand), DC 4-2-1 header, best I can get is a 15.4 at 90 mph. And I know I'm not a bad driver cuz I put my friends SE-R spec V to a 14.9 with only a filter and muffler cut off. Mayber I need to go to where yall race?

Well if you race in 45 degree weather, you're going to turn some pretty good times. 15.2 is still pretty good for i/e, but with that weather it is more understandable. Remember, with drag racing, there are too many variables to accuretly compare. Weather, temperature, humidity, track conditions, tires, suspension, elevation, etc all play a major factor. The only way to get an idea if your car is faster than someone else's is to either line up against that person or compare times ran at the same track on the same day.

I don't know why you people think reaction times have anything to do with 1/4 mile time. THEY DON'T. Just cause "your boy" gets off a good RT doesn't mean he is a good driver. It means he knows how to anticipate the green light. The true test of a good drag racer is in the 60' time. I'd be willing to bet "your boy" had a 60' time of 2.5+ seconds, which is why his times sucked.

60' is everything.

RT is nothing.

Actually, head to head... R/T can win you by the holeshot. (Even if you have a better 1/4 time. R/T just doesn't count in practice or test and tune runs.

But damn... to they guy who ran a type S to a 16 sec quarter.... damn... how many gears did he destroy ? A base RSX can fly by in under 16 ! Kid needs to take some drag lessons....bad !

well actually my car ran 15.37 in 100 degree weather also. and you have to understand this is one of the slipperiest tracks i've ever been on. i launch at 2500 and still get bad wheel spin. this is a redneck track and they don't like to prepare the track. and also humidity in louisiana is very bad. my car coulda easily ran 15.0's on a better track, better tires and stiffer shocks. my shocks are pretty much blown right now so it squats very bad. i guess i just have a freak motor

oh yea and actually i had lots of weight in there. i had my speakers in there and my spare. i was too lazy to take all of it out. i have like 200 pounds of stereo equipment back there so im very confident i woulda ran 15.0's or maybe even 14's.
