Default anyone own skunk2 stage 1 camshafts?

My friend has ITR cams right now waiting to be installed on his GSR. I suggested he might want to consider Skunk2 cams over them instead. His main concern is reliability. I think it's a given that skunk2 will make more power then itr cams. Any info, suggestions, or advice? Thanks.

i had itr cams in my GSR. swapped them out for skunk stage 1's. the difference was like night and day. more mid range and top end on the skunks

yeah, skunk2 cams are nice. Have heard nothing but great things about them. Definitely go with the Skunk2 cams.

Toda and Juns are nice too, but pricey. I'd go with the skunks

Skunk2 stage 1's all the way! Mid-range improves and sick beyond 6k rpm!

I have the stage 1s in right now, and even though they are untuned, my midrange is way better, and topend pulls better. Can't wait to get them tuned!

they produce great power, but yet are smooth idleing and you can run the with a stock valvetrain. my top pick, i'm almost considering selling the R cams and getting a set.

no problems with the STR's . there pretty nice gears. the degree marks are super accurate. I got them from a friend that works at one the local speed shops for super cheap. i hear they are pretty expensive

They do not, The Crower units are top notch though.

I have JUN type-3's, If the Skunk Stage 2's had been available when I purchased my overpriced JDM cams, I would have bought the Skunk 2's.
