Default Trying to Start my 4th gen accord.....

Today, i tried starting my accord and it would crank and the engine would start and then immediately shut right off. The i tried to start it 3 more times and even tried jumping it. And it wouldn't start still. I came back this evening and i tried starting my car and it started just fine.

my question is, does anyone know what could cause the problem? My dad is blaming my amp (for my sub) and my fogs for sapping the battery power. Could this be an issue? Is it okay to directly connect Power sources straight from your battery? Thanks, any help would be appreciated.

No, if it turns over and manages to start before it shuts off, it's possibly a fuel problem. When's the last time the fuel filter was changed?

yo, ive had the same problem on a 4th gen accord and a 90 prelude that ive owned. replace the main relay under the dash. its about $45 from honda and its a bitch to get to. its the PGM-FI/MAIN relay. if youre looking for it under the dash, its up behind a small metal box next to the steering column (something for the cruise control on a MT) and it has a large "12V" printed on it and its gray with a metal mounting bracket attached to it.

actually, the 4th gen accords are notorious for this problem from what i've heard and they have had some recalls about it. honda said is was the ignition system (a faulty distributor to be exact). But i don't know if that's what's happening right now. It hasn't happened in like 3 months. It just makes me lose total trust in my car right now as far as reliability goes. Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all you honda tekkies.

my H22a car does this, i have heard sooo many stories on what's causing it. Well, y tumbler for my key is kinda worn, so i suspected it, but now i really do think its the main relay. I am going to change it as soon as i get paid...BTW, mine has been doing it for 2 years or so, and what it does is, well what it doesn't do is prime the fuel pump, so you just keep turning the key on and off, till you hear the pump prime, then it'll start.
