Integra Type R Rear Seats in 99 Hactchback
I have been looking around and seem not to be able to find the Civic Type R rear seats for a reasonable price. They come on Ebay from time to time but they are crazy with the shipping cost. I have ran across the Rear Integra Type R seats and I know that these will fit in a Civic Hatchback. First off I have a 99 Ek4, I want to purchase the seats but before I do I had a real concern about them...Other than the seats hanging over about a inch or so what else will I do to make these seats fit. Are they the same size as the stock seats in my car now. If anyone has done this swap or know anything and can give me a little info on this it would be helpful.
do a search, for more details, I have talked about this manny times.
The short answer is they dont bolt right in. You hvae to swap the frames from your civic seat backs. You can add padding on the bottom to bring it up so there is no gap from the bottom of the seatbacks to the seat bottom. There is nothing you can do about the gaps on the side.

So then they are short on the side I guess. I swapped the skeletons out of my seats when putting my CTR rear seats in. It wasn't too bad. Don't re-use those metal clips that hold the covering, just use some zip ties. Looks just as good and saves alot of time and patience

The seat backs are perfect once you swap the frames. Zip ties are my best friend too.
The USDM ITR seat bottom is a different story though. it is way thin (but padding) so there is a gap between it and the seat backs. But the padding under the bottom cushion easiely fixes that.
But the bottom is too narrow, so it leave a gap on each side.

hey.. I know I'm bringing this back from the dead, but I just installed my rear seats and had to do a little modification to it.. those little prongs that stick out of the bottom of the seat were way different. so ihad to cut out my stock ones of my seat and i zip tied it to the integra seat.. worked out perfectly!! also now i have that stupid gap between the bottom seat and the back seat... what padding did you use to fix this?
any kind of padding will do. Bath Towels even.
But I used the padding that was under the rear ITR trunk carpet.

i swapped my rear hatch interior for gsr leather rear seats. i fixed the space on either side of the bench problem by using some black stereo carpeting and just wedging it in the space

i have 98 Ls seats and all you have to do to make the upper seats fit is switch the metal or the "frame" inside. The lower won't really fill the space but can make em work... good luck i used 98 LS seats and used the lower seat material to have the original seats re-wrapped.... peace

They don't work - hatchback seats are not interchangeable with coupe & sedan seats. Coupe & sedan seats latch on the top, while hatch seats latch on the sides. You also couldn't swap the seat cover from hatchback seats to coupe seats, since the hatchback seat is split 50/50 while the G6 Civic coupe seat is split 60/40.
I don't think the rear seat from a 4-door ITR would work in a G6 Civic either - the G3 Integra sedan rear seat is not split and latches in the center, while G6 Civic coupe seats have 2 latches since they're split 60/40.
Now, if you had a G5 coupe, you could use the ITR sedan rear seat . . .

For the seatbacks, yes, take the cushion from the integra and put it on the frame from the civic.

ya the seats fit good, i have an ej6 (97 hatch) and the rear sits fit good, there are two gaps however that need to be fixed, the first is easily fixed by stuffing some towels underneath the lower seats and the second is fixed by buying some black, or red carpet to put on the sides and once youve done that the seats fit perfect, however you will have to use some sort of rod for the seats in order for them to stay staright as there are clips in the integra, simple fix and you will have to cut the bars off the end of the seats, minor adjustments and now my seats fit and look perfect

But that's not an ITR seat. It appears to be Civic seats that have been re-wrapped with the ITR skins.
