Pics of my Carbon fiber hood that FLEW OFF ON THE HIGHWAY and SMASHED!!

ok so yea for those of you that didnt hear the terrible news my CF hood flew off on the highway the other day...no i didnt have hood pins...and NO THEY WERE NOT REQUIRED!! so yes...i called up DG and complained that my hood seperated into 2 pieces the tray that was still latched on to the car and the carbon fiber piece that FLEW OFF! here is the pics (2) of the hood click on my members ride you can see the pics of this terrible tragedy... at least i get a new hood for free from DG i just dont know about the trim piece on the front of the hood I hope they replace that too!

what sucks is, if you dont get it replaced by the shop, the hood probably costs less than your deductable.

Actually, they should always be required with any fiber reinforced hood. The only hood I would attempt not using pins is with a Benen hood. I'd still use them anyways. I'm sorry for your bad experience though.

good thing that your windsheild is ok...my friend had one on his sol and his flew back and hit/cracked the windsheild...

just hope you dont have to go through insurance..i recently got rear ended..hit and run.. i had to pay my $500 deductable, and $598 for 2 weeks with a rental car.. at least i got to **** up a set of brakes at touge

but now because some ******* took off, im $1,100 behind..
