Alright guys, we're right around the corner from the event. I want to thank everyone out there for the suggestions, the info, directions and the effort that was put into the meet getting off the ground. like i said, i wouldn't have been able to get the event off the ground if i didnt have so much support. Everyone that helped put it together is going to be on my Event Planning List. If the event goes good, i think imma try and organize a couple more events so Honda-tech wouldn't be sooo boring. A little interaction would be good. Anyways, the final details are like this.

2002 Type R Meet @ Centennial Park, Highland Park IL.
The Event starts promptly at 11am, Saturday August 10th

Directions to Centennial Park in Highland Park:
If you are coming from most suburbs, take I-294 north from O'Hare. I-294 ends where it merges with I-94 in Deerfield. Continue northbound on I-94 (marked as I-94 "west") for three miles to the exit for IL-22, Half Day Road. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Half Day Road eastbound. Go three miles and you will pass Route 41.

About 200 feet after Route 41, on your left will be a street called Trailway. It will look like a residential street, but the park is tucked back a little ways (by the way, don't fly down the street, they have speeds bumps). Follow Trailway all the way down, it will curve a lot but just stay on it and there will be a large parking lot along the road, right before it turns to the left to the hockey building. Just look for the Type-R's parked and you are there.

If you are coming from the city, take the Kennedy Expressway (I-94 "west") to the junction and take the northbound Edens Expressway (still I-94 "west"). After about 12 miles on the Edens, you will go past the exit for Dundee Road. Stay in the left lanes for US-41 Edens Expressway (do NOT take the exit on the right for I-94 Tollway). Continue northbound on US-41 for four more miles to the exit for IL-22, Half Day Road. At the top of the ramp, turn right onto Half Day Road eastbound. Continue with the second half of the directions above, where you are looking on your left for Trailway, which is only about half a block from the ramp off the highway.

If you are coming from the North Shore suburbs, take the Edens Expressway and exit onto IL-22 Half Day Road eastbound. Continue with the second half of the directions above, where you are looking on your left for Trailway, which is only about half a block from the ramp off the northbound highway.

Nope, imma gonna be R-less that day. This is the screwed up part. Remember on the Original post we wanted to do it on the 17th? I was going to go to Hong Kong but that trip got cancelled. We rescheduled it for the 10th which was perfect. My JDM conversion was sent to Virginia so i got another sent to me and it just got here on the 31st of last month. Now i gotta wait and i thought it would be done by the 10th. It sucks cause i kinda set this up and i don't even get to roll up with my R. I got pics of the R at the body shop i've been meaning to post up but Imagestation links just won't show up in my posts. It sucks, imma be R-less for the R event. Its all good though. I need to find a new place to host the Type R meet pics cause imagestation doesn't like me too much. Imma post like 50 pics up online. Hahahahaha

 

oh well, hopefully we have a good turnout. Let's see that confirmation list get bigger and bigger. Have you talked to Nsxtcjr? He's from the chicagoland area, I know there are a few more R's out this way but not sure who they are or how to get in touch with them. I'll keep my eye out and spread the word.
