Anyone do a Euro-R intake manifold installation into their H22?
I know Sun Dang did it along with 71DSP, but has anyone else ventured? Saw pics of the IM on inlinefour, and it looks very, very nice.

it looks good...i've always wondered how good the performance got when comparing that to the stock im.
I would guess it should work very, very well. I wish Skunk2 wouldn't change the expected release period so much on the H22A IM, which i would assume is a basic copy of the Euro-R version, but made to fit perfectly on all non Euro R H22a's.

I used to have the manifold on my car. We picked up 4-6 hp throughout the powerband with it. Works alot better then the stock piece thats for sure!
I threw it in the trash! haha naw i sold it to a friend that will be putting it in his 9 sec turbo H22a powered EK Civic. It should help out a lil bit. Everything bolted up but it required alot of time to make the stock fuel rail fit and to make the iac work. Worth the upgrade after it was done
So, its possible to get the stock H22 fuel rail to fit? What other parts besides the Euro R IM would i need? Any other Euro R parts needed when you did the installation?
Thanks,
Mark
By the way, can you get the Euro R intake manifold? Let me know

So a single runner intake works just fine with the base P13 ECU program that's expecting dual runners? Did you just tape-off the intake runner butterfly solenoid wires? I guess ideally we'd move to a single runner ECU, like a P28+Hondata?

One problem there would be the loss of a knock sensor, otherwise it's not a bad call.
what work were you interested in? to modify the euro-r and make it work? Let me know so i can help you out! thanks.
hey..how much did you get your manifold for...i found them on jdmhondaparts for 320 but not sure if they are worth all the trouble of making them fit...im still deciding on gettin that or waiting for the skunk2 to come out.
I was told (and believe it) that it will be a while before Skunk2 gets it done. I might go with the Euro R. You can't beat genuine honda parts!

Scott:
Do we have enough clearance for the Euro R to fit our H22a powered accords? The Euro R intake manifold is a bit longer than our stock unit.

I will be able to tell you for sure as soon as I get it. I don't see an issue at this point. I have plenty of room behind my manifold right now, so it should be ok.
2.6 you should do a write-up about how hard it was (or easy) to get it to fit. I am probably going to get one after I find a trany, but I still don't want to have to fight the d@mn thing for a week to get it on.

P28 + Hondata will work nicely with the Euro R IM.
I'll let you know once i have the IM installed.

In order to fit the manifold, you have to:
-fill the some holes on the manifold where the injectors go in
-cut a piece out of the manifold, or machine the head(intake port side)
-custom fitting for the IAC, i used my USDM intake manifold IAC and got custom fitting made for me.
-your TB also has to be modified or there will be a minor vacuum leak(metal filled/machined off by where the USDM IAC air passes through). This last one took me sometime to find, as the vacuum leak is quite small. I just got annoyed and finally tracked it down and resolved it.
It is not a simple bolton as some ppl may tell you. There are minor stuff to do but nothing major IMO.
the car runs very nice with it
