Default Polishing the header to make it like new?

I remember a few threads that had mentioned this one thing you can buy at Kmart to polish the header to make it look like new. What was it? I searched but all the ones only mentioned Eagle 1. I would like to try to remove the blue/purple from it and see if it can stay a crisp golden brown. Thanks.

Phat Bastard recommended WENOL once. I never used it, the purple color doesn't bother me

Yeah, that's the one...I will go buy it and see if it works. I like the purple but the way it's on my header makes it look dirty.

Autosol is the stuff I have. It's a metal polish that I picked up at an autoparts store.

It is gonna take alot of elbow grease to take that chit out. And since your header is already installed, getting your elbow in there is gonna be tough.

EDIT: Nice Spoon header.

Yep, Blue Away is what you want. Made specifically to remove the "blue". Very easy to use and doesn't take long at all!

If you can't find it at a store, I'd go here http://www.j-pcycles.com/shop/group....LID=23&DPID=98 or go to any online motorcycle store.

I suggest using WENOL.

Here is a good article for cleaning headers with Wenol that I found on google.

Before:

After:

YOU NEED TO USE ELBOW GREASE!! Wimps need not apply.

Mine looks worse than that and will continue to look that way cause I don't like cutting my hand trying to polish the damn thing after it has already been installed.

I think I have the result here somewhere...let me get it. I used blue away and it rocks.

Brasso does absolutely nothing for the header but great on faucets and pipes.
