My accord tranny was dying. 3rd was gone and 5th on its way out. I had an M2S4-5 transmission from a 96 Prelude SI laying around, So i decieded to swap them out today.
NOTES:
Bolt in install. No mods whatsoever. Use the M2S4-5 Vehicle Speed Sensor.
TEST DRIVE:
1st gear: Same as accord, nothing new.
2nd gear: Feels a little closer, probably placebo effect.
3rd gear: SPORTY!! Much tighter than accord.
4th gear: Where the hell did this go? 4th is super close, I LOVE IT!
5th gear: Another ~800 rpm drop. Very quick. Very Close.
6th gear: Not there but dammit it needs one!!
60mph is ~3000rpm in 5th
80mph is ~4000rpm in 5th
I am hitting the track on sunday, i also swapped my accord axles/intermediate shaft out for the prelude units from Driveshaftshop.com. This should be a durable enough setup to prevent snapping. (again)
Ill keep you posted.

hey im thinking about swapping a used 94-95 ex 5-spd or the h23 5-spd tranny to my f22b1 automatic. what do you guys recommend and what parts will i need?
my auto tranny might go out pretty soon.
EDIT: is the h22 tranny good for my f22b1 or will my revs be too high?
AND what motor do you have accord94dx?

do you think you'll have sometime to write a step by step/how to? I'm thinking of doing a tranny swap myself if it isnt too hard or doesnt require too many special tools.

Take your time, have a friend help out. Its not so bad if you just take it step by step. One thing that you might want to do is remove the far left motor mount stud during installation, this give you clearance problems when reinstalling and you can zip it on after the tranny is mounted. Dont use an impact gun on the bellhousing bolts untill they are all on and it is flush with the block.

So i will need an impact gun? can you list all the tools you used? It'd suck to have it half-apart and realize u are missing a tool.

Flathead and Phillips screwdrivers
1/2" Impact Gun
3/8" Impact Gun
Extentions
Universal Joints for the Extensions
Transmission Jack
Lift
Jack
Blocks of wood
Side Cutters
PRY BARS!!!
impact gun? screw that...those aren't needed
edit, either is a lift, or a tranny jack...normal jack works fine
