B20 Turbo in my LS?
hey guys. i have my whole setup sitting here. is this worth it? estimated ETs?
b20b
ported and polished head
t-25 turbo @10 PSI
3 inch turbo back piping
stock DSM side mount IC
nitrous to the intercooler.
is it worth it? also if i just put in the b20 NA would it be quicker than the stock LS motor? i melted some rings in the 1.8
thanks for your help and input.

u can turbo a b20 enless u resleeve the block if u look in between the cylinders the wall between each one is very thin so ur gonna blow head gaskets like whoa if u dont resleeve it before the turbo goes on
I would have to disagree with lsvtec4door. A b20 does not need to be resleeved in order to run boost. Its all in the tunning. Check out the FI forum, there are more than a few members that are runing a healthy amount of boost on stock sleeves.
your setup sounds good. the b20 block is very close in design to the b18b so you'll be safe at a low boost level. i would look at a better turbo though. for the size of the engine i would try and get a t3/t04 hybrid. you could also think about swapping out the head with a vtec head and that would make some awesome power too.

dude. if you wanted to drag race, get a domestic f-body and get it over with
.
it will be cheaper and you will be able to turn muuuuuch better than with a b20 integra.
but if you really want to waste your cash...i guess you can do it.

What he was saying is that if your main goal is going fast in a straight line without spending LOTS AND LOTS of money, then a Honda, really any Honda, isn't the best starting point. Nothing wrong with that, it's just the way things are.
But for my $.02, I'd build and Turbo the B18b1 (wait a second, that IS what I'm doing...) instead, A B20 is too much time, work and weight for the minimal torque gains that you'll get.
