need pointers w/ B20 swap...
ok, i'm DEFINATELY pulling my B16 in favor of a stock B20. now i'm going to source 90-91 intake manifold, dizzy, and ECU. any pointers from people who have or have done this swap? looking for info about how the 90-91 ECU does..and yes, i'm researced this topic quite a bit..there's some good stuff at hybrid2.honda-perf.org. i'm most concerned about fuel issues..running lean on the LS ecu.
jalopysir has a b20 in his crx. i think he is running a 90-1 LS ecu, but you should IM for confirmation. he usually is on the board every few days or so...
Well, first off, the 90-91 teg ECU runs a B20 pretty damn well. Immediately after my swap I was getting a code 43(fuel or vaccum) adding a B&M FPR fixed that, and will fix any other fuel issues that may come up. Unless you are getting everything out of a parts car or something, I would reccommend a Skunk2 IM or at least a G3 LS intake manifold. The G2 is pretty bad. Use your b16 exhaust manifold or headers(whichever you have) The exhaust had to be cut, shortened by roughly an inch, and rotated slightly to match up with a G2 teg header. It is a really easy swap, easier than a B16. What tranny will you be using? Save that B16 head....you may want it..
What all is involved with this swap? Ive been wondering about tbis for a while. What arwe the advantages of this versus and LS? And the big question is about how much will it cost me to do this and do it right? And one more thing....why do you need the LS intake manifold and headers and computer? Sorry about all the questions but ive been wondering about this stuff for a while.

a B20 comes from a 96-2000 CRV...OBD2. in order to use it in a CRX or 4th gen civic you need to either rewire to OBD 1 or use OBD 0 electronics..dizzy, intake manifold sensors, and ecu. i'm going to use my Y1 tranny and SiR axle setup. the B20 intake manifold is too high..you wouldn't be able to close the hood on it. stock crv headers are JUNK.
the B20 is essentially the same size as the B18, but bored to 2.0. a little more torque and power than the b18. it's a whole lot cheaper if you already have the b series platform in your car.

So do they make mounts for the b20 swap or can you use b18 mounts? And about how much....$ wise are we looking at for this swap. Give me the maximum amount. Where is a good place to find these motors? And the BIG question....how are they with BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOST?

mounts are the same with B series..same with b16 and b18 and b20. long block is about 1000. factor in cost of tranny, axles, linkage, exhaust manifold, intake manifold, dizzy, and ecu. done. i imagine this motor would LOVE boost.
hondamotorsonline.com has a longblock for 800
