Tow Hooks: Where the HELL can I get some?
My stock ones are in a shitty location. I want one around the bumper.
- Benen is on back order and have been for a long time.
- I got an OMP but it isn't long enough.
- I am having a hard time finding a metal supplier in my area (they exist but the directories don't seem to list them).
Anyone have any suggestions?

1. Walk into bar.
2. Steal beer coasters with logo.
3. Cut hole in middle.
4. Glue to bumper.
Isn't that what Yack did?

have you though of getting a 1/4-1/2" diameter long U bolt and just drilling some holes in your bumper and fastening it with two nuts each end? i've thought about how to make a cheap tow hook myself. paying what benen asks for is just lame for a piece of metal etched with their name.
The Integra's bumper is about 4" behind the bumper cover. There is a layer of styrofoam in between the metal and the plastic. You need something to span that distance and still have enough outside to run the rope/hook through.

Sorry if this isnt the racer look you were after, maybe you can diamond etch DC sports to it. (comes in different sizes and lengths. customize as you wish.)

Jason: I found the metal. I ordered 2 pieces of aluminum and 2 pieces of steal. I will see what I can make and if it works out I'll hook you up as well.

ok, you obviously didnt read. you can get em in different dimensions, as long as you want or whatever. i really am just trying to help. i took the time to go to mcmasters website to find something appropriate for you, if this doesnt work, well you can look it up yourself. im glad to hear you can do it with a couple pieces of steel. you asked for suggestions.
I appreciate the suggestion. I don't appreciate the condescending tone (I don't remember mentioning anything regarding the pimpy "racer look"). Perhaps you didn't mean to sound that way. You have in the past and I just assumed you were doing it again. If you were not then I apoligize for making an invalid assumption.

the "condescending" tone was to willard. your own idea of fabricating your own tow hook out of scraps of metal just shows that paying $70 to benen for a nice piece of metal etched with their name on it is not worth paying for. i think ive seen the u bolt thing done on other race cars, may not be the prettiest thing, but it gets the job done for under $5.
i've got my own reservations of benen. they are based here in norcal, actually supported by my friend who raced the integra, but all i see is a bunch of rice cars with the benen decal on it trolling around.

im not saying factory tow hook is BAD, all i see is a nice powder coated, embossed pieces of metal done in 2 minutes in a CNC mill. bling bling!
thats tight!

Don't flame me on this but maybe you can find some four wheel drive tow hooks that could me modified to fit your application? Just an idea?

i dont want my street car to have holes in the bumper,or any other unreversable mods done to my STREET CAR, and neither does jack.
