Have I lost my mind!? I may be trading in the R...
Well, if the deal goes through and I get approved, '00 FBP #281 may be on it's way to greener pastures and being replaced with an '03 CL-S 6 speed coupe black/black.
After much thought, as much as I want to keep the R, if the dealer is willing to give me what I'm asking them for, then its gonna go. I will however pick up a pre-owned CW 97-98 ITR in 12 months or so once I recoup some funds. So as you can see, I haven't totally lost it.
Plans for the CL would be mild, but since I'm more of drag racer than a road racer the CL will satisfy my needs a little better in terms of pimp factor and comfort in the real world of near-stock cars.
Mod list would look like this:
Mugen low-down for TL/CL, oil cap, rad cap, pedal set.
Comptech Icebox, headers, and, exhaust.
19 x 8.5 Blitz Technospeeds wearing 225/35ZR19 Pirelli's.
Then maybe I'll hang with those pesky E46 M3's a little better.

You already have the TL-S... Why would you get a car that is essentially the same but with less doors? Trade in the TL-S for the CL-S and have the best of both worlds.

Yup you've lost it. A friend who works for Acura says that the CL-S might not be around for much longer. Sales weren't as strong as expected. So if you really want one, I suggest you go for it now before it's too late.

19" Bling bling, but not good for drag racing. Do you want a pimp ride or a fast car? Can't have it both ways.

Yeah, I'll definetly pick up another ITR, but if I can jump into this coupe I'll be happy with the cars overall appeal.
Funny thing..
I sold my Hybrid Civic to buy a CL Type S
Then..
I sold my CL Type S to buy an ITR..
The CL ate gas like a mad man..
I still miss my hybrid..

no offense, but i've driven both, and until you bolt a blower on the CL-S (maybe not even then) you are not gonna be hangin anywhere near a e46 M3, unless you park next to one...
rob- who loves the 6sp CL, but is knows e46 M3s are no joke

anybody know the 1/4 time for the m3's?
and in the real world - your cl-s is going to be on 19s and front wheel drive vs. a car is rwd and runs 13s all day long on 18s...good luck catchin them, i just dont think its happenin w/o some sort of FI.

Big rims only slow you down when you have NO TORQUE!
E46 M3s can run from low 13s to mid 13s as a good run. A modded CL-S 6sp MIGHT be able to keep up, but catch up?? Not without some NAWS or FI.
