JDM B16A in 97 Hatchback --> Can it pass smog?

I wanna see if it is able to pass smog, if not then a straight pipe shall be used... but if it can then carsound it is.

what year block.. do u have all your emmisions parts connected.. is it a obd-2 computer on your car still... if not time to pay up =P

as long as the enigne passed smog before in the car that it was in...it will in ur car...someone correct me if im wrong

The motor is a JDM B16A so I don't think any previous smog information is very relevant. OBDII is being converted to OBDI. If I can pass smog I'll hook up a cat and make everything legal... if there's no chance that I can then I'll just run a straight pipe... thanks for all the information.

Year Block: 95 EG Hatchback.
