A friend of mine had mentioned posting up the progress of my build, and i hadnt really thought about it til i was reading through some of the post last night. And its true that not many people, especially around my area (VA) are doing full builds. Alot of motor swaps and bolt-ons...But not hours upon hours of blood sweat and tears....So I thought i would show off my project.
Background: My Father owned a Restoration/Body Shop for 25 years, winning many national events with cars & trucks that he has done. He is now is the Body Shop Teacher at a near-by High School- which is where the car is being done at. It is a side project, so i go work on it whenever possible. My vacation days this year have gone into working on it.
My dad is coaching me and my brother on how to do alot of the work...gotta start somewhere and why not learn from the best.

Enough Chat---PICS!

I dont have any pics of the car when i got it. It had some rediculous Body Kit rear bumper, had been wrecked in the front, hail damage, no front bumper, and it was spray painted. BUT it had a swapped GSR in it.
SOOOOOO.. I replaced the bumpers and thought it would be an awesome idea to paint it FLOURESCENT PINK.





Within hardly a month that faded to PEACH



So thats when i decided I was going to Paint it...







Engine Bay=GROSS!




See...I told you i Do Work!










And with doing that much work to get all that freekin pink off...I decided to go ahead and go all the way with the build.

So we chopped out the wrecked radiator support...


Pulled the motor


Welded in new Radiator Support




My Lil Bro Helpin out..


Finally Getting Primed (thats my dad!)








Still Alot of work to do in that engin bay!!!

And thats where i left her so far....This has been a bit of a long process, but in the end it will be worth it. I can say I Built It..Not Bought It!

Color Still Undecided...

unfortunately no updates at the moment
i have been busy with moving and getting adjusted, but i am going to be working on it next week, so keep an eye out for some new pics verry verry soon!!!!

I think im going with a Kandy or Pearl Pink...I have always wanted a pink hatch.

I was going to do charcoal camo, but one of the guys i work with did his truck in snow camo, so now it would be like im copying since his got done first
