good, or GOOD?

seems the best are HyTech, RMF, and SMSP...
they are also the most expensive from $900-1300
all make great power, just depends on which clique youre in

the most POPULAR seem to be the knockoffs i.e. EBAY

some people claim quality and power are comparable...

Check the race header and dyno threads. You'll see plenty of examples and it will give you and ideal of power output.

You'll also need to pick something that will work with your motor setup Just because something makes great power on one setup might not be best for you.

I guess the question to you would be how much are you willing to spend to get a GOOD hEADER?

Skunk2 is releasing a torque step, Tri Y polished stainless header for B vtecs in the very near future. Pricing, pics and stats will be available a bit closer to the release date. We are anticipating about 45 days. Just thought I would throw that out there.

You can also look at Bisimoto for a header. Custom made to your motor and the pricing is around that of the hytech and SMSP.

just curious how much most ppl mention RMF, Hytech and SMSP, but not too many ppl use or mention the bisimoto headers. Is it cause bisi doesn't release too many headers? or just more ppl like trying the RMF, Hytech, SMSP due to proven track records?

Was just curious since i'm lookin at headers too and most ppl on honda-tech recommend those usual 3 if you want good quality, proven gains.

If you really want to boil it down, it would be personal preferance. I like and have ordered a bisi header. Its prooven, works and fits great, and I know it will work with great results. Thats not to say the others won't or that one won't out perform another.

If I were you and your serius about getting one of these really high end headers I would call each company, yes they will all talk to you. Let them know what you want to do and see how you feel about each one and what they have to say. Then make a decision. If you have to leave a message do so they are all extreamly busy people. If they don't call back in a day or 2 call them back.

I had it on my b20 now on the LS.. but I run a ITR header..... Love it and it seems to do the job.... Not going to invest into a full out race header till I see the car break 12s on motor which shouldnt been to long once the new LS is in there...

Ran it on the b20 (stock bottom) with built head ect.. and it done a 13.7

Bisi's header(s) probably make good power, but I think I seen like two dynos of them. Their floating around here somewhere. A lot of people probably run his header, but they don't post on HT, too busy racing...... Put it this way for every bisi dyno their are 30 RMF,SMSP, and Hytech header dynos to compare that single one to.

Hopefully Bisi will chime in, considering numerous others manf. have......

Now to throw this out there i saw on ebay what is the difference a header that is only going to cost $100's or less vs the brand name stuff? Has anyone used ebay headers? But if it comes down to it I'm willing to go the mile and get the right stuff .

Simple, crappy welds, quality in general.... Of course some of the brand name stuff comes with the price of the name itself, but quality comes with them.

X3275

even though there is some 'paying for a name' price involved, the headers that most of the heads in here suggest are well worth the price considering the quality of the product and power they make.

or a hytech replica if you want something nice and you can't afford a $700 header

yea i went on Bisi's website and definitly like his philosophy on the racers developing parts for racers at a reasonable cost. Most of the top companies are though, racers for racers researching and developing parts for us to enjoy on our race/street cars. It is just hard to find much info on the Bisi's parts. He's probably jsut really busy with projects and such.

Seems like if you are going to pay for the highend stuff you will get gains and the quality, just seems more personal preference.

racers for racers
haha...sounds so cheeeeeeeezy but it's true
