National Grand Prix - Saturday Paddock Pictures Part 2 (11 huge pics inside!)
Here are some more pics from Saturday... You can check out the others here.
Carbon fiber is so cool

The interior of a ALMS GT 911

One of the DuPont BMWs

The Protoges aren't doing too bad out there

The single most popular wheel of the weekend. They were everywhere. This is a cart of about 12 at the Realtime paddock.

Does anyone know what the little pivoting "T" thing is in front of the shocks? Is it some methos of reducing body roll?

Before...

...After. I saw a couple people leaving the grounds with some used tires under their arm. I should have thought of that.

A "Mustang" from the Trans-Am series

Maybe I should get some headlight stickers and throw them on the back of my car.

This guy was zipping around the paddock in style. Very cool.

just looks like part of the suspension. as the wheel moves up, it pushes/pulls the long control arm towards the center, pivoting the quadrangle piece which extends/contracts the shock/spring using the other end of the arm connected to the T as the fulcrum.
or i could be completely BSing...

The T handle is the front roll bar, same design is used on most formula cars, from FF1600 on up.
nice pics.
That pic of the blue Protege's reminds me... Did anyone notice the height of engineering used as a catch-can for the tranny (I'm guessing - located on the back, leftish side of the engine area)?
I believe it was Evian or perhaps Deer Park (hard to tell w/ the label removed) plastic bottles zip-tied in!

You should have talked to that Michelin guy, he would have let you drive that sedgeway. I drove it at Mid-Ohio last month.
