OBD1 conversion, cel check?
there is a usually a yellow wire on the harness that you ground out. and then when you ground it, the CEL light on the dash will blink the code number.
on the conversion harness there are extra wires that are not used that do not go into the engine bay. one of them is for the engine check light

click on that and you'll see all the extra colored wires. well one of those is for the CEL and its usually yellow. you should have got instructions with your conversion harness that tell you what each wire does and where it goes.

If you have the obd0 to obd1 wiring harness then its the yellow wire which is at D4 (obd1 plug), and if you convert it your self tap a wire to D4 and the other end touch ground and do the same proceeder like the obd1 car and your check engine light will blink the same as the obd1. Good luck

If you do it DIY, just use the stock 2 pin connector under your glove box just like OBD1, except it will blink on your dash like OBD1 instead of on the ECU.
I did a DIY OBD1 conversion and the actual CEL on the dash blinks just like an OBD1 car would.
