Alright guys, I just finished the Type R meet

and for those of you who kept up with that thread, we had a few questions about a Honda-tech Meet so here we go. This is the official thread for the Midwest Honda-tech meet. I want to help get this meet off the ground so basically, we gotta start with a date and location. Those of you that helped get the Type R meet off the ground, I am going to need you guys again so we can do this.
I remember Yellow dragon saying something about this, So we gotta get this off the ground.
As everything says, its going to be a Midwest Honda-Tech Meet but held in Chicago. Yellow Dragon suggested September 14-15, either one of those dates. Now can anyone confirm that Battle of the Imports is on that date? Is that good with everyone or do you guys want to set up a meet for another event. It can be a seperate event and not really a Battle Of the Imports thing. Thats basically what we got down so far.
1) Date and Time
2) Location
3) Activities
4) Attendance
Guys, lets get this event going and make it good. Suggestions Needed!

i don't have a type R teg but i would still goto the meet with my hatch if i get it running

This event is still being planned, Any suggestions on locations? The date is set around September 14-15, one or the other.

o.k let's clear things up the Type R meet is on Aug 10th. The date for the H-T meet will be either Sept. 14 or 15. Should we plan to have it at the Battle of the Imports event, or would you guys rather set it for another location. Keep me posted and let me know what I can do to help out. I'm pretty open for whatever so I'll just wait and see what the rest of you want to do.

 

I'm from around there....way out NW burbs...but I'll try to make it. I'll send out the word out by me and see what happens. Just hope my car is running!!! Haven't been able to drive it since May but I figure 2 more months should be plenty of time...

Well, first thing we gotta get figured out is basically where we're gonna have the meet. In order for us to find a good location, we need to figure out attendance. I am sure this turn outs gonna be bigger than the Type R meet so we gotta find parking. A lot big enough to fit everyone. Attendance is key to finding a good location. Guys? Suggestions?

KillerB - Good to have you at both events. You got everything down for the Type R meet. You're correct about the Honda-tech meet. We're gonna try and schedule it for that weekend of Battle of the Imports. Any locations?

SHift@9- Man, i know what you're going through. I don't have my R. Its been in teh shop for the last 2 monthes. I can't take this anymore! Parts are getting complicated and i am still waiting for my front end conversion. I just hope everything works out and i get my R back for the Meet that we're having.

PMTypeR - If you're down, lets get the details sorted out and get the party rolling.

Well guys, i haven't seen any posts that were made to this thread in a like a week or 2 already. Well, i am glad i got a few more up. Firs things first. Anyone know the exact date of the battle of the imports? I am guessing its a weekend and we might not want to do it on the day of the event but maybe a day in advance. Locations. How many ppl can we expect to show. This will help us a lot when we look for locations and once again, SUGGESTIONS ARE NEEDED or atleast appreciated.

The BBq sounds good. Where do they have parks where they can grill? Anyone from the Naperville area? I know there's a park down there. We used to go down to grill and stuff. I think its somewhere off Lemont Road off 55. Not sure but i know that can fit loads of ppl there. Anyone??

 

Why don't we do it in schaumburg? Maybe even at the forest preserve on Gold by Woodfield... I can't remember the name...but the place where all the imports hang out...
