95 Accord EX w/ABS Pass Frnt Caliper locking up
Hey i got a 95 accord EX Auto w/abs and my frnt passanger caliper keeps locking up. I've changed the caliper twice, brake hose, and ABS unit, proportional valve i guess is in abs unit. any clue what can be doing this? didnt start happening til after i blew out my 2 rear lines and got them fixed with new ones. Been trying to find a fix for a few months now. write me back or hit me at Triscuitmg@aol.com . Thanks
ya but he said hes replaced it 3 times... I dont see how anything in the ABS would be causeing it to lock up... and by lock up waht do you mean is it locking the wheel entirely? need more info i.e. what conditions were when it happened etc.
the piston in the caliper comes out but will not side back in, but if i open the bleeder on caliper it will slide back in fine. this all happened to the front pass caliper, after i blew out my 2 rear lines and replaced them. only thing i havent replaced is the master cylinder, but am told for it to be a master, one of my rear calipers would lock up also?

piston won't slide back until some forces act on it. Does the pistion slide back in when you press it?
Where did you get your caliper? May want to try different brand.

if the piston will only go back in when you open the bleeder, then the soft floppy hose tot hat caliper is bad, what happenes is it sepearates on the inside of itself, and ti will create a check valve in the hose.
Well i tested the hose and it is not the new hose i put on, when disconnected before the hose the piston also slide back in fine, anyone know if there is a specific way to bleed the ABS unit? want to try that before i replace a master cylinder which i dont believe is the problem.
if the hose is ok ad the piston only compresses when you open something int he system like the bleeder or the hose, then i think a valve in the abs unit itslef is malfunctioning.
Havent had a chance to rebleed the ABS unit, but it was a working unit out of another honda that i installed. took apart old ABs unit and is like a plastic valve, dont see how they move up/down or what not, but cant see how it would stick, especially in the new unit in the car. Is there a special way to bleed these units that i dont know about?
