Default 2000 FBP ITR stolen in Chicago

Thought this would never happen, but it did. Happened last night/this morning between 11:30pm and 2:00am. Car was parked in front of a friends house in the Jefferson Park area by Cicero and Lawrence ave, in a neighborhood, so not on a big street. Parked the car there and went out, got back and it was gone.

I was always careful when driving the R, made sure I wasn't followed and watch where I parked. Don't think I was being followed, I had a compustar alarm with back up battery, kill switch, auto lock on the clutch pedal, door lock bypass, and turned the wheel toward the curb. Guess they towed it away. All the was left where I parked the car was my sunglasses visor clip and a single grey wire from my alarm (no idea what that wire was for, but couldnt of stopped my alarm from that wire).

Police report and insurance was notified. If anyone sees a black ITR around, please let me know.

Car was pretty much all stock, nothing really distinguishable , had a rear ITR strut bar.

F*ck Theives!!!

All that security and it still got stolen! hopes she turns up, but in most likelyhood you might get the shell back. I know a few Chi-town R owners not recover anything.

Thanks for the comments. I'll let you guys know what happens with the car. I'm pretty sure I wont see the car anymore, so I hope State Farm takes care of me.

Seriously

They're definitely using tow trucks. In that PY stolen thread someone mentioned spotting a guy stalking his car, then showed up with a tow truck some time later but the caR was blocked in and the owneR scared him off...

phack.. i drove my car yesterday, but never leave it outside of my sight, hence it is a weekend car for cruising or just to remind me why i keep it even though i rarely drive it. Sorry for the loss, but it seems that its been becoming more of a trend lately. From the posts of the losses most of them were 98 or 97, but now it seems there hitting py's and now fbp. Maybe its time to move onto another car.. i hope not.. but can't bear the heartbreak of coming out and the black go kart not there

That really sucks man. I hope u get it back in one piece. I actualy know a few ITR owners who had their cars jacked in the the Chicago area, including the suburbs.....errrrrrr!!!!! I dont know what else we can do to keep these ITRs safe. I think the next best think is Lowjack or a GPS tracker. These are the only things out there that will somewhat let us knoe where our cars are. I think someone here posted a thread about how to make a GPS tracer using a Cell phone...I still cant believe it man...alll that security and its still gone.........I believe this is the 3rd ITR this month gone just in Chicago

To be honest i'm surprise you still have your car. I thought someone would have followed you home by now or you would have sold her, but it still good to know that you still have her Paul. And please remember my phone number, so you don't blow me off when i text u. JERK!!

sowee dude.. i gotz a new phone, text me.. same digitz. In all honesty i've been followed a lot ever since i got the jdm conversion and the stunna wheels, and that was two-three years ago. I still get followed sometimes, but i hop on the hwy and take drastic measures to loose them (in a safe way of course that don't endanger other drivers on the hwy) and then go back home. Cory knows how freakishly paranoid I am with my car. I think Eric sold his already due to the same problems. Will's car is gone, i think it got taken right infront of his house (in front of the police station nonetheless).

It seems the thieves are targeting most of the new itr owners on here. Some of the individuals who have posted their itr stolen I have never met or heard of (Man I must be getting old). For the newbies, keep reading threads like these to up to date on what hot areas to avoid and what measures to take. I have never been the same after Reggie's car got taken. I dont even go to Chinatown to park and eat, I just do take out.

Should we even still do a bbque this summer? If it is its probably going to be based on the old itr list that I have. God knows how many are left on that list.

When you running back here homie? Where mah kool aid at? Anyways i'll hold another bbque and toy drive this year now that i'm done with school (graduation in two weeks)
So i'll post something with an anonymous location and just e-mail everyone like the usual

Kicker773 out~

if it was parked in a neighborhood did you go around to all the houses around his the next evening to ask if anybody heard anything, to find out the time and maybe they saw something?

also another thing to consider is are there any other hondas in that neighborhood? maybe a kid saw it and told somebody

Dude i don't know any of the new people either. Maybe we will have to post a new thread to see who are the new ITR owners and the OGs still have their R. I talked to Eric last Summer and he still had the R, but i guess he sold it lastly i guess. His car was really clean. Will is a BUM, and i think he sold it after it got broken into. Reggie's R was parked right next to mine. we all could have been walking home that night. I don't go to Chinatown anymore, i'm scared to park the R there. Chicago is just unsafe for all ITR owners.

Dude Chicago and the suburbs are unsafe. If you guys know Ronnie Wu from lincolnwood, he had his ITR jacked from niles. He got his R taken from his GFs place right by Golf Mill Mall. These theives are targeting suburbs too now....Its rediculous

They also go as far as Bartlett,IL. Which is Deep in my opinion. I live a little bit deeper than that and the roads the lead to my house are next to golf courses and in a subdivision. So its hard to follow me all the way to my house without me know.

I don't know if you heard but Pete sold his PY recently. I still have my caR but it's rarely driven anymore. Let me know if there's any bbq or anything this summer.
