i know the engine makes like 25 more h.p but the t.q is pretty much the same, and i know the chassis is reinforced but my gsr handles pretty damn good, plus its a sedan and the top end is nasty(in a good way)

itr has a even better top end. itr handles way better than a gsr unless your gsr is modified. it's not just all the suspension and reinforcement, it's lighter and it's got a lsd.

also with the type R it was designed as a street race car, thats why (as stated before) its lower stiffer suspension, bigger sway bars, higher compression motor..
also exterior differences it doesn't come with a sunroof, and it never used to have A/C but do to demand it became a option.
The GSR is a luxury sports car. Leather seats cruise control, sunroof, air conditioning..
SO it depends on what you want and what you are into..
IMO I would rather have the type R cause I am used to a crappy ride. And I enjoy it..
to me when I drove a GSR it felt like a old mans car

The Type-R is my favorite Teg by far but if I have a '94 GS-R that cost virtually nothing compaired to a Type-R price and it will out handle and outrun the Type-R (b/c it is modded).
If you currently have a GS-R just do some suspension mods and some minor engine modding and you will be fine.

That's very true, however, it's still not a Type-R.

The ITR is not a street race car. It is a high performance street car. It does lend itself well to road racing, however. It's probably one of the most impressive FWD chassis ever built.
The GSR's luxury can only be described by me as "**** star style". It's not all that great.
The GSR or ITR are NOT sports cars. Not even close. Sport coupes, yes. Sports cars....hell no.
OP: there are LOTS of differences between the ITR and GSR. There's subtle ones (swaybars directly mounted on subframe, boxed rear LCAs) and not so subtle ones (25more HP, better gearing, LSD, better suspension, bigger rear sway bar, 1''larger brakes in the 5 lug model, etc. etc.)
The ITR as a package does drive a lot better in a high performance situation than the GSR. All those changes come together to beat GSR ***.
The GSR is more cushy and comfortable. I wouldn't describe it as "luxury", though. If you've ever been in/driven a lexus, bimmer, benz, etc, you'd see that the GSR is about as low on the luxury spectrum as possible. It's like calling a Kia a luxury car just because it has shitty leather seats. Besides the crappy *** leather, what exactly makes the GSR "luxury"? The 2 cupholders sized to fit shot glasses? The tiny little compartments and glove box? The HUGE 15'' wheels? The econobox FWD chassis? The lack of headroom/back seat room? The 1.8L 4 cyl engine? The INSANE(ly bad) sound system with AM/FM radio and single disc CD player? Oh wait...I forgot...It has AC...
I used to own a GSR. It was a good car. Solid, reliable, quick, good handling, etc. But they really dont compare to an ITR.
