taping your masking paper onto your sheeting helps with overspray i know you're just spraying sealer but clear can make it's way up there....looks good though

That looks like a lot of time and effort, I hope that the rust doesnt come back.....

I would have gotten a better shell, but looks like you are doing a very good job at restoring her.....

good luck

it is a whole lot of time and affort . and i did search for another shell for a while , and i actually have another one from california , but i have other plans for that one . and i am going to great lengths to make sure it does not corrode again. on top of that the car will never be driven in winter again .

so your welding civic hatchback wheel arches in instead of CRX? I't will work fine and all, it's just a little bit different shape than a CRX's rear 1/4

Are you new here?

This is the most economically priced replacement part we can get for our CRX's.. There are hundreds... if not thousands of people using this same part to repair the rear quarters of their cars. This totally and completely beats the cost and wait time for a OEM panel to come around..

I heard that you can use them but they need to be modified. There is a post about that somewhere. Something that it does not line up perfect near the molding area. However they do make CRX specific patch panels to avoid any mismatching.

thats true with the ones i have . there is suposeed to be a bend where the rocker molding comes up and there there is not . but i cut it off above that and the rocker panels i got go up high enough that they have that bend to its all good.

so the only difference between the hatch panels and the crx is that bend at the rocker panel. i wish i could see side by side pictures.

that is the only difference . otherwise the arches are the same and the area the hides underneath the bumper is the same . like i said before the only reason there is a bend at the upper rocker on the crx is for where the rocker molding comes up to , where as the hatch has no rocker molding so no bend in the upper rocker.
