Default Aftermarket Horn Button Install

Here is a quick write up on how to install an aftermarket horn button on an Integra. I was not planning on doing this write up, the pictures were just for my documentation of the project but I guess this can help some people. Sorry for the lack of pictures and the bad quality, I used my camera phone. Write up was inspired by weaksauce.org's write up https://honda-tech.com/zero...br%3E

1. Remove stock wheel. Be sure to keep the 19mm nut, you'll be using this to bolt down your aftermarket hub.

2. You will need approx. 2-2 1/2 feet of wire and a metal contact. (I followed weaksauce.org's suggestion to use the metal clip from a pen) Wrap one end of the wire around one end of the metal contact. The other end of the wire will be inserted in the horn button harness located under the steering column. Run the wire through the column.

3. There is a screw located on the bottom right of the spline. Loosen that screw and wedge the metal contact in between the white plastic and the screw and tighten. You will want to bend your metal contact towards you so that when you install your hub it will press against the base of your hub.

4. When your project looks similar to this, then it is time to put your hub on. ***BE SURE TO ADJUST YOUR CONTACT METAL SO THAT IT IS JUST BARELY TOUCHING THE BASE OF YOUR HUB, IF IT HAS TOO MUCH PRESSURE ON THE BASE YOU WILL HEAR THE METAL SCRATCHING THE BASE OF YOUR HUB EVERY TIME YOU TURN YOUR WHEEL. I COATED THE BASE OF THE HUB WITH SOME ALL PURPOSE GREASE TO ADD A LITTLE LUBRICATION***

5. Install your hub and secure it with the 19mm nut from earlier. Install your wheel. Connect the wire coming from your hub onto your horn button. Install horn button and you're done.

I think this is for the newer Integra's because mine (95) has the 6 pin SRS connector.
