I can appreciate the aggressiveness of the styling. (it reminds me of a shark, too) I'm sure it's going to be a great performer. I do, however, see a striking resemblance that is hard to overlook...

 

How much is it supposed to cost???

 

It's a replacement for the Z3 I think. It shouldn't cost much more, if any than a Z3.

I doubt, that's what the 3 series is for.

 

From what I`ve read they don`t have a coupe (hatchback) planned. The Z3 coupe wasn`t intended for production in the first place and it is a very small market.

Yes the back end looks like a S2k but it also look slike a 360 *** end too...

BMW = translation = German over priced crap (outside of porsche but that too could be argued, Germans have been lacking in the production car market)

how can you say that a bmw is overpriced crap? what cause you dont' have the money to afford one it's overpriced? i've driven the new e46, m5, my dad owns a 750iL and i'll tell you right now, they are not overpriced. the torque on those things make driving honda's seem like the ricerockets they are. you are pretty uneducated and probably never have driven a bmw. overpriced, ok maybe if you're poor, but calling it crap is ignorant.

 

That car looks disgusting. It's got character lines in the body, but they don't correlate with the overall theme of the car. It looks like one of those shoddy after-market body-kits I see everywhere on Hondas.

z4 sucks, id rather have a s2000. only bmw i would ever buy would be the M5, the z8 sucks too(but its fast).

I don't care what anyone says, it a free country and we are all entitled to our own opinions.. i personally like any car that appeases my eye in style and performance. It is well known that the M-series of BMW is an outstanding performance automobile, period. Why do you think all other car manufacturers out there are always trying to come up with a "BMW fighter"? aka, IS300-to 3-series..still can't beat the M3...or the GS-400 to and M5? can't do it... Just some opinions of people who pit these cars against the BMW...9 times out of 10, the BMW will win.

It is well known that the BMW M-series is outstanding. But it is also well known that the Type-R line of Honda has been top notch as well. The AMG-series of Mercedes is outstanding as well. What's your point?

Not every carmaker is out to "fight" BMW. Most car-makers are able to produce similar luxury and performance at a fraction of the price.

 

I have beef with BMW becasue everytime I brought my M3 in something else broke. The damn thing seemd like it was gear limted to less than 130... I was on the highway redlined 4th and I was doign all of 100 maybe 110... Shifted to 5th... I only had a few thousand to climb before I would have hit the rev limter... Very not cool IMO. ANd the damn thing kept breaking. So I wont be buying or supporting BMW anytime soon.

 

Such as the Acura TL-S and CL-S and the Infiniti G35, all of which offer more horsepower and more standard equipment, at a price that's around $8-10K less than a similar BMW 3-series once you add in all the BMW options that come standard on the other models.

They're all nice cars, and there are more similarities than differences. But the biggest difference is in the price tag.

I think it kinda looks like a Marcos. In my opinion, i think the lines of the car are all over the place, there is nothing where they all come together, like a Z8. BMWs are very nice, but in about 10 years, the resale will be rediculously low.

Buddy I think you should take into consideration that some people are not as fortunate as others. As low as you are I really don't feel like wasting my time on you right now. they call the technique used in the sheetmetal design for the z4, "flame surfacing" (light and shadows are supposed to resemble fire) I don't get it.
