Default how to put Type r seats in a civic

I have a 92 lx 4 dr civic. I just bought some Type r seats and was wondering how do i put them in. Do i have to use the civic rails and put them on the Type R seats or just use the Type R rails. This should be easy right? But then again i can't even change my own oil. I'm pathetic

You can use the stock Type R rails. 92-95 and 94-01 Integras have the same bolt pattern.

try to pull it out while your unscrewing it (like putting back pressure on the bolt/screw)

Guess you can't use them. Sell them to me. Or you could
trade me for my GSR seats.

are you turning it the right way? Get a 12mm 6 point socket and go to work on that bad boy. Get a hammer and tap on it, it should come out easily.

try using a monkey wrench... that's what worked for me when the socket wrench started stripping.

to lessen stripping when using the wrench, try applying slow and steadily increasing preasure instead of a quick hard turn. hope this helps!

push ur screwdriver real hard ON to the bolt, then twist ur screw driver

that means not try to strip the bolt

PUSH IT HARD

ok i finnally got out the passenger seat. But there's a problem. I tryed putting in the other seat and it didn't line up at all. And it is the passenger seat so i didn't mix it up. So does this mean i have to switch the rails?

i hope you didnt pay more than 5 bills fot the seats, because that's how much you can get them for.

and i guess you have to swap the rails then if they don't fit.

how the hell do i switch the rails. I thought it was easy but then i looked under the seats and i don't know where to start. Do the rails just bolt on or do i have to make different holes in the seats?

wierd. integra rails should work in your car. try sitting in the seats and adjust the position of the rails first.

when the seat and rails were off the car, they may have been mis aligned (left and right side not in the same spot)

swapping the rails is easy, but may take a little bit. you'll have to unscrew a couple screws to get to some nuts. just get a philips and a couple socket wrenches and work your way from there.

but do NOT try taking off the nut on the seatbelt buckle, its hard as hell to take off.

ok right now i'm working on the passenger seat but i'm not sure if i just take off the rails or take off the whole bracket that holds the bottom of the seat and the top together? also if i'm only suppose to take off the rails i think it's impossible because the bolts holding the rails on can't come off. The don't have anywhere to put a screwdriver and it's not big enough for a socket. Can someone look at their seat rails and tell me how to take this piece off

Dude no offense but your taking a seat out and putting another one in, not the hardest thing in the world. Even if NOTHING matches up and you really want to make the seats fit then get the drill and go at it. Part of the fun is making stuff work in ways it wasn't intended.

ok on ONE side (i believe the side with the seatbelt buckle) it connects the bottom and the top of the seat together. you take that whole thing off..

on the second side, you dont need to do that, the plastic that covers part of the rail is covering one bolt. take a phillips screw driver and unscrew the two screws holding the plastic cover, then take out the bolt for the rail.
and if you slide the rail forward, you will see another bolt in the back of the rail. take those two bolts off and you have that side off.

One of my professional friends referred to it as the "Big Wheel Feel".

I liked it.
