spoon is too small

the JDM (or 00-01 OEM ITR) shift **** is the way to go...

I like the Mugen...but I think preference depends on how you grip the shifter. If you use the "pistol grip" style, then the Mugen is pefect.

had the stock (98): It sucks
00-01: shifts great, looks cool
Mugen (current): looks funky, but feels awesome

I have the Spoon shiftknob right now, I like it better than the OEM shifter, simply because it does not heat up as much when exposed to direct sunlight for a long period of time. I might try the Mugen shift ****, I hear the throw seems shorter due to how the Mugen sits.

i like the smallness of the spoon, but not too small. looks good too. but then all shifters do the same thing...

mugen one, red one at least, doesn't get that hot in the sun and i like it more than my stock one, even though i'm downgrading in price I used to grip the stock one from the top but i like the pistol grip feel of the mugen more. my .02 -rob

BUt if i were to choose from the 2, i would say spoon. mugen looks like big heavy, something they give out on bat day at yankee stadium.

Whatever you're comfortable with.

Personally the stock '00/'01 shift **** seems perfect, and I'm not even considering changing it.
Ditto.

i grip it SF2 style... where the shifter is in between my middle and ring fingers, and the **** in the palm of my hands...so, i like the OEM 00-01 ****, cuz i dont think i could do that w/ spoon or mugen...

Doh!!! I decided to put my stock 01 Shift **** back on, and I forgot where the nut goes.. Can someone post a picture of it? I tried screwing it on, but it doesn't go low enough.

the nut should go on with the wide part facing up, screw the **** as far down as if will go, then back it off until the pattern in lined up correcty, and use a wrench to jam the nut against the ****
