Washer Trick for rear camber?
For those of you who have tried to get less rear camber, did you try shimming the rear upper control arm with washers? Also, how many did you use and how much of an effect did it have on camber?
I assume the washers go between the control arm and the body to effectively move the control arm outward a little.

Correct on the placement of the washers. The number of washers is proportional to the amount of camber correction needed. -A trial & error scenario. My car sits pretty low and I found that 2 thick washers do the trick for me, but you will have to try it for yourself & see! Good Luck!
I did this to a friends car, he needed 3 washers. Worked really well. I'd like to see some shims get made that support the whole upper control arm, but for regular street driving, it works great. He has prolly 20k miles on his car since I did the washers. He even had it aligned, and its in specs!
This trick works well. I used two thin stainless steel washers on each bolt - I think I got +1/2 degree from them. You should only need a longer bolt if you use *lots* of washers and if you need to use lots you should probably get a camber kit.
