I know most of you guys are using coilovers. I'm going to be raffling off a set of <FONT COLOR="red">Eibach</FONT> ERS race springs for any ITR owners that sign up for the event. You'll get topick the length, ID and rate of the spring for your application.

I would totally dig on this if you guys did it. although my gsr is inferior, i would still enjoy it

my experience on the track is short but i would love to do buttonwillow again, i couldnt imagine tracks being any more awesome than that.

 

March 1st is a performance driving clinic at Buttonwillow too. just FYI.

and tommorrow is an open track day at Laguna Seca, I cant get my car out there tmrw, but I will be at buttonwillow with my GSR.

Buttonwillow is $225 with $10 bucks for a Helmet
Laguna Seca (Tmrw) is $260 reg and $20 bucks for a helment, and you can get ride along instruction for another $60 bucks.

if we wanted to attempt to have our own track day i'm sure i can get some corolla guys as well. that would be quite a battle in itself with our cars going at it. then some people from s2ki and we should have no problem...it'd need to be on a weekday though to have a chance.

I'm not trying to deal with renting out a track to ourselves, getting funds from everyone, getting an ambulance, flag workers, etc. The simplest way is to just pick a track date already set up by an organization that everyone agrees on and just go.

Lets take it one step at a time.

Most of us don't really know each other well. This gives us an opportunity to become a group of friends like the East coasters.

Lets see who shows up and makes it out to this event first. If a lot of R's come out to play, we will have a total to see what we can do for the next event, maybe plan our own track day perhaps? but right now, I don't think its a good idea to plan something on our own at this moment.

 

Count me in guys! I would definitely would like to try the legendary Laguna Seca!

 

This is very interesting. This give me the boost I needed to get my car up and running. Wait, does an cRx with a swap JDM ITR motor count?

 

like tony and issac mention...let's just get more type-r's out there and run a few track days. i can only imagine all of the work EXPO is...

honestly, we have a hard enough time getting more than 4 or 5 itr's out during a track day. the last thing we want is to have so many 'new to the track' itr guys commit - and then not show...which then leads to $ problems. i'm not trying to insinuate anything...just laying down the truth.

i think jackson and issac have the right idea...let's build on this.

i dont have an R but i think you guys should to go to laguna seca. i went twice last year and enjoyed working high priced euro cars with my POS civic.

I'm glad we're getting some good feed back on this. Let's get some votes based on the tracks and dates I posted up. Like I said earlier, I'm down to go Thunderhill, Infineon or even Spring Mountain but I want to pick something that will involve the most people. I know work and school is a big concern for everyone so it will have to be on a weekend.
