Default 90-91 USDM Crx Window Visors (modifying jdm ones?)

I read and read about the old threads of the 90-91 USDM Crx Window Visors

88-91 JDM Crx's never had door mounted seatbelts and the plastic piece on the 90-91 USDM Crx's is wider then the 88-89 USDM/JDM Crx'x. I know I am stating the obvious. I hear people mentioning on the threads about modifying the JDM 88-91 ones to fit on the 90-91 Crx's. Has anyone done it? Chime in and pix would be nice...

Once on my red 90 crx I took 88-89 hatch garnish that is located on the top of the doors and is in between the window and door. As we all know they fade and the outer shell brakes off and looks nasty. I cut the end down to fit on the 90-91 Crx worked. Anyways I wonder if I can just cut a section of the jdm ones I know (a shame) however glue it or adhesse it some how to fit on the 90-91 USDM Crx? Any advice with a way to piece it back together would be nice

Isn't there a huge thread someone in the CRX/EF Civic Forum in regards to someone that makes these or sells them.

I am curious to know as far as doors go why a 90-91 EF Hatch door isn't the same as a 90-91 Crx far as the window visor goes?

Edit: darn turns out the hatch line of the door is straight where as the Crx tappers down towards the back of the door... no worky

Thanks finally an answer! I am curious still if there is a difference in the non power folding mirrors between the EF8 and EF9

I am guessing the EF9 only had power folding mirrors?

they had the power folding kind because the mirrors would fold on it and probably break something. And why do you think the EF9 only had the power folding kind.

brand new EF9 non power folding window visors waiting to get my car painted before putting them on

ive read somewhere before on h-t that the window visors fit the 88 crx doors better than the other years....seems like 89 should work as well. but as a few others have already said and you know, the 90-91 have a thicker b-pillar cover than 88-89.

So do we all agree that the EF8 and EF9 JDM non power mirror visors are the same part? and that it's possible that the JDM ones will work on the 90-91 Crx USDM? Like the above person mentioned...

I have seen adds for the visors EF4 EF6 EF8 but not EF9 a serperate listing was listed.

its easy,

if u have a car with door mounted seatbelts than your only option is aftermarket or modified jdm.
if u have em on the chassis, then u can use either the power/nonpower jdm visors because the us mirrors can accomodate both.

for the civic the ventvisors are pretty good and are available for both door styles. and are cheap.

So are we rulling this out then to be not true? As always id rather get a straight answer before I purchase $200 set of jdm visors for my USDM 90-91 Crx and be pissed that they dont fit when I expected they would...

Makes sense to me...so lets rehash this... 89 Crx Dx and 89 Crx Si 90-91 Crx's all had door mounted seat belts.

The picture shows a door mounted seatbelt... the garnish on the outside same as 90-91 Crx USDM? Hard to tell by the pic...

Are you guys Freaking blind??? I have a USDM 91 CRX which was manufactured in Japan and not in F**ken canada!!! It has Door Mounted Seat Belts and I bought JDM EF8 Non Power-Folding Mirror Visors I am telling you they freaking fit because I installed them myself with no freaking issues! No modifying of any kind...you guys are dumbasses.

Here is another picture!!! And before you go saying that I have different mirrors I had the stock mirrors before and they still fit!

Hmm well I guess I will take the plunge and get the JDM ones...

I have the last set of OEM USDM Honda 90-91 Crx R side on the way... just sucks that the L side was discontinued. I made about 5 calls across the country to confirm as well as canada no such luck I'll post up the results when I get both of them in.
