i finally stole my friend's 92 lude shift lever and put in my 94 accord...i like it!
well i didn't steal... he was willing to swap the stick since he's selling the car.... the lude shifter throws a lil bit shorter but the stick itself is noticeably shorter. looks good? I'm pretty satisfied. here are a couple pixs:

nope...just the shifter lever itself...i actually had to remove a couple tabs on the shifter plate to clear the lude shifter...
looks sweet
i still need to get off my lazy butt and visit some local junkyards... hopefully i can find one cuz i don't especially want to have to reweld my lever...
do you know if i'd be able to use my B&M short shifter adapter with the prelude lever? and how was the install?

I think that you should have left the Accord shift **** on there since it looks so good stock. But I do like the way it looks now.
DeLiRiOu5- thanks!... i believe you have to get the prelude adapter. the install was fairly easy... then only thing you have to modify is the tabs on the shifter plate the blocks the lude shifter from shifting.
-accordvtec- thanks!

hey that's real cool.. i think i'm going to do that. do you think it's worth it to buy oem lude shifter from carparts.com or something? or should i just saw down my original shifter? i already have short shifter installed, but i just don't like the long stick..

thats dope...i dont trust those adapters/short shifters for accords/preludes, but i like what you did....what would be necessary for it? just the shifter? would changing the bushings be good to do @ the same time? thanks
I got a 92-96 installed with my auto-manual swap and I like it alot. The shift feels more natural and looks much cooler.
Lemme get this strait, you just replaced the lever, not the cables?
one of my friends has that...its a piece of metal that hooks behind the brake(if auto im guessing) and at the same time pushes against it...something along those lines...he tried to explain it to me...
and the color...damn yall didnt know that in some of the 5gens they did a cotton candy interior...it was very very rare...i think they only did it in like i wanna say...only...his car...but i could be wrong on that one.

stonytsi- check out some junk yards to see if you can pull the shifter out. all you need is the stick itself, the screw and the nut that holes the cable.
accordonc2s- yah i hate my short shifter adapter...that's why i went this route.. i didn't change the bushings at all...hmm maybe i should but all you need is what i said to "stonytsi"
4doorH22- what exaccord said
carolinaACCLUDE- two autolocks hehe can't be too safe ya know?
4doorH22- what pink and purple? sometimes my camera is kinda screwy with colors...

I wonder if you can use the Accord short shifter adapter with the Prelude lever? How is the throw on the prelude adapter? Is it alot shorter?
I know this is Off topic but have you guys seen a lock that holds the shifter in gear so that way no one can just push your car away.
Thanks

It looks really low in the dash.
And as for the purple stuff you all couldnt tell that it was just a crappy picture. Even the stock wireing harnesses are different colors than they should be.
