Default My 95mm Stroker build almost running!! Thank You DFE!!!

Well it has been a long time in the making. But its getting close to running!

I would like to give a BIG THANK YOU to DonF @DFE for building the motor helping me get everything together and being a good friend!

A little about the setup

DFE ported head with Skunk Pro 2 cams and gears
Golden Eagle sleeved b18 block
JG PerformerX intake manifold
Skunk Pro TB
Skunk Carbon Composite Fuel Rail
Eagle 95 stroker crank
Eagle H beam rods
CP pistons.....etc
DTA engine management

The motor made 287hp and 202ftlbs torque on the engine dyno With an SMSP header.

It made 294hp and 204 trq with SMSP header and Jenvy ITBs.....

Keep in mind Don and I went into building this motor not shooting for some crazy big peak number. We were looking for a much better than average torque curve (which we definitely got) without haveing to rev it like crazy. We never ran the motor over 8300 rpms.

Well now that Christmas has come and gone I got a few goodies for the car. We have almost everything together. We had to play with the Hasport conversion to get it right but it seems to be ok now. We got my inline fuel filter on and are going to start the wiring for DTA.

Some other new things to look for in the pics below
Samco radiator hoses
Samco intake with velocity stack

I have a sunroof plug and carbon hood...I am also buying a carbon hatch and replacing the hatch glass with lexan.....trying to get the car to be -1900lbs.....

What did you use to relocate your fuel filter?

I have not put it on a chassis dyno yet. However I am thinking around 250ish to the wheels....

I did it the same way this thread did it
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1452210
I just removed the stock filter and put a inline filter form Summitracing.com in its place. Really easy...

A pretty good bit...I can't elaborate on it too much though because I am not sure if what Don charged me is the same for everyone and I don't want to give out his pricing info.....if you know what I mean....

dons dyno is very accurate and normally you can take 13% and figure the power to the wheels.

284bhp=248whp give or take a couple hp

Unfortunally, I did not dyno it with the ANR headers, only the SMSP B19 and B20. So we will have to deduct from the BHP numbers. This is a 84x95 engine, 11.6 -1 (not enough for Pro2's because I read it here) and the best numbers were with SMSP 2.0 headers( yes, i know they are too big) and Jenvey ITB's ( yes i know they do not make more than a Plenum intake) at 294 BHP @8300, I did not rev it higher, and the curve was still going up. I know you can rev 95mm cranks higher( i read it here) but I do not, that is my opinion on max revs for reliability on that stroke. It is an Eagle crank (i know they suck, I read it on here) but after but after lots of dyno runs (and checking before instalation) cams, headers, intakes the egine remaines constant.

Yea I am not quite sure how the AN-R header will fair...I will more than likely sell them in place for a set of SMSPs.....However before I do I want to get the car on a Chassis dyno just out of curiosity to before the SMSPs and after the SMSPs.....

Don I don't think it should have idled at 800 either?? especially not with pro 2s and ITBs???

I am extremely happy with the motor it ran very consistent on the dyno and I hope to have it running in the car within the next few weeks!

why did you decide to go with the manifold since the itb's made better #'s, was the torque better on the manifold.

also i see why you went with that rev limit now, makes since with longevity. any estimate on how long you can get out of your motor.

also thats great of don to let you install the motor at his shop. i think it shows the extra he's willing to go for customers. most "engine builders" wouldnt let you do that
