You send us your stock top hats(labeled front and rear) and a sheet that includes the following measurements (be accurate, and ask me if you have any questions or hesitations):
-total shock travel

Can you please explain on how to measure these two things and also, what are the importance of knowing these measurements when making the custom top hats? Sorry, I'm a noob when it comes to suspension... thanks

 

sure thing:

measure spring seat (where spring sits on the top hat) to the top of the bump stop (when bumpstop is sitting against shock body). this must be done when the car is jacked up and suspension is at full droop.
thats the total travel.

do the same thing when the car is sitting on the ground at your desired ride height by wrapping a zip tie around the shock rod above the bump stop (at full droop), put the car back on the ground at the ride height you want, (moves the zip tie up), then rejack it up and measure zip tie to spring seat.

these measurements tell me how much travel you lost and with a ratio (bump/extension travel) that i use so I'm not guessing at how much to extend the top hats, I can extend them the right amount.
