For all that complain about not having a venue in the local area when the tracks are closed Barona has stepped up and made a series for Sport Compact to come and compete against other sport compacts. There will not be any V8's there so the more imports attending these events the better chances they will stick around for us. So please come out and keep your sport alive. The tracks an 1/8 and hooks really hard so lets go out and give this track a chance to be around for us socal personnel for a long time.
Here is the schedule as posted on there site. http://www.baronadrags.com/schedule.shtml
06:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Fri 4-Apr SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT QUALIFYING
10:00 AM TO 04:00 PM Sat 5-Apr SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT/FASTEST STREET BIKE/TEST & TUNE JACKPOT GAMBLER
06:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Fri 2-May SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT QUALIFYING
09:00 AM TO 04:00 PM Sat 3-May SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT/FASTEST STREET BIKE/TEST & TUNE JACKPOT GAMBLER
06:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Fri 11-Jul SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT QUALIFYING
03:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Sat 12-Jul SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT/FASTEST STREET BIKE/TEST & TUNE JACKPOT GAMBLER
06:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Fri 8-Aug SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT QUALIFYING
03:00 PM TO 12:00 AM Sat 9-Aug SPORT COMPACTS ALL-OUT/FASTEST STREET BIKE/TEST & TUNE JACKPOT GAMBLER
I know its only 4 events but you can test and tune all year at there test and tune sessions.
This post is not a reflection of Barona staff just some I wanted to get out to fellow racers that wanted to get more runs in during the year. Thanks everyone and I hope to see a lot of you there.
P.S. I notice that the last two event conflict with Boti within reach schedule so I'll ask them what they can do to change that. I'll update as soon as I get info on that.

No problem would be nice to race with some of the Jerry cars and any other cars that would support these events.

You can run what you bring. If the car meets NHRA, IDRC, and BOTI certifications then it can run there. Open header all thats legal just make sure your safety devices are up to date cause they do check it and will enforce the rules on it.

borona is of the hook , track is allways well prept and the staff is really nice unlike irwindales import hating staff , if you guys can make it down bring it ,you wont be disapointed ,like stated before if the car is safe you can race its in the middle of the indain resv so no noise regs

We'll definately be there. We love this track. Lot's of shut down room and overall a great track. We'll have three All Motor Street cars and one SFWD. Looks like it's gonna be a fun series. I received a call from Rick who runs the track and an e-mail from the race director and we'll be helping them with the setup of the classes too. I encourage everyone and anyone who can attend to do so as it should make for some fun racing. We've attended past events there and were very pleased with everything from the track to the staff. Nice pit areas too. So count the PowerSpeed team in as well as the homies from Whitfield Racing who will also be there. Tell a friend and let's all do our part to keep the sport alive in SoCal.
