Default project civic 89 + 4wd

Got the car about 5 year ago. Was a stock hatchback with a D14A1. Build a DIY bodykit that looked somethink like this

I know looks real riced up.
After that did my fist engine swap. A rebuilt 87 ZC1 with 90 zc intake and pm7 ecu

After that started to remove the riced parts and go a EF9 fron end conversion done

Interior has has a 91 accord dash:
The dash was more of a test if it was possible to get everiting working.

And the last dash to go in was a 94 accord one
The wireing was not that bad. I just repind the accords wires with my civic plugs ( not cuting ). And added 3 extra wires for the VSS.( out of a 93 civic)

The last two things that are still in the making
Mugen pro 2 bodykit and 4wd conversion

Still making the molds for the bodykit but gone have them finished in March

Got a 89 civic shuttle 4wd for about 50$

Still a lot to do. Have to rebuild the gearbox and replace the analog VSS with a electrical VSS before i can swap it in.

The shift linkage is allmost done.
Had to make a new oilpan to

Just have to weld and paint it.

Similar oil pan as what Epic Tuning did on there 400whp 4wd civic hatch.

Good work, check out there thread. GL with the rear trailing arms they need to be custom welded.

This conversion seems to be getting rather popular. That newer accord dash looks great in there, although leg room looks pretty average.

The shuttle you used has a different rear x-member then what the usa version has. If you click my sig you will find my 4wd hatch, I really want a limited slip rear diff for mine, was that a option were you are? Good luck on the build

Thanks. I saw Epics civic and Matts and its realy nice work + i got some ides form them.

Some oled pics of how i did the DIY bodykit. Mostly tha same way i making the new Mugen pro 2 crx bodykit look-a-like but gone re-make the rear bumper.

The old browb top ZC1 engine rebuilt with D16A9 intake and dizzy. Had to make a new mount. The reason why i used this engine was because the 90 ZC and doch D-s are hard to comeby here.

The mount:

a before and after pic of the engine:

From the looks of it, it was probably a typical 'foam mold, lay fiberglass' deal. I recall a show where they did a body kit in an hour - they poured urethane foam onto the car, controlled the growth, then shaved it down with a hand planer. They had a widebody kit, bumpers, and side skirts in an hour, minus time to let the fiberglass dry.

I like the pic with the flipped shuttle. Just don't forget the gas tank. Seems the only upgrades you have left are rear discs (seen it done on a 4wd), and maybe converting to a b-series + cr-v tranny.

haha I was thinking exactly the same thing.

A built B20-VTEC AWD 4th gen hatch would be so hot
