spend the money get a name brand short shifter either b&m or skunk2

Unless, that is, you want your shifter to break in half while your driving. Which can very well happen.

Crap, I clicked the link to see the shifter and it voted. I had a B&M for about a year then upgraded to a Skunk2 dual bend, I do like the dual bend better. I also have the Skunk2 shift **** which makes a huge difference. Weight matching the shifter and **** is very important. I had a cheap **** for a while and once I changed to a heaver one I notice a big difference. In the end, proper shifting is the key.

B&M fo show.... You reuse your stock shifter bearing just replace the urethane bushings they give you with the shifter kit onto it. Shifts smooth like stock but has a nice reduction in shifter throw. Way better than the cheap ones that break and use skate bearings.

we usually get one for the shifting feel when driving. it doesn't make you or car any faster when driving. there are rumors out there that SS ruins trannies, but that's 100% not true. inexperience people cover that part.

also, don't waste your money on a ebay one. i suggest you get a skunk2 or a B&M (highly recommend it) and some ES bushings.

Whats the deal with the dam short shifters being so dam tall in a del sol?!!! No matter what brand, had 3 diff ones and they all are a shorter throw, but Its like im driving a dam ole 18wheeler w my shift **** up next to my head!!
The reason is, because theyre the same shifter for a civic, which is lower in the floor. Ive been thinking about chopping the top of mine off tho make it lower. Im used to it, but it looks a lil funny. Great shift **** for the record. Be nice if s2 actually made one specially for a dsol.

Due to the OP's incompetence in copy/pasting I can't actually click on the link - I accidentally voted for one though.

I like the way everybody's quick to hop on the bandwagon saying "ebay shifters suck" - you jack-nuts do realize that people sell REAL stuff through e-bay stores, right? Like you can get actual name brand stuff on ebay through stores, and usually it's cheap.

Think before you talk.

the skunk2 single bend and skunk2 **** work amazingly in my em1. get some new shifter stabilizer bushings also, it will tighten up the sloppyness.

Dual = Two
