it would be a good idea to used a new throw out bearing when installing a new clutch assembly.
usually when you buy a kit they supply you with one.

hmmmmmm.......either my screen is kinda crappy or the pics arent very clear but i think i see a bunch of blue/black hot spots on that pressure plate....i hope you got that clutch pretty cheap and dont be suprized if you get some chattering during engagment.......but you will never know until you install it.
as for re-surfacing the pressure plate.......i dont think it would be cost effective...you might as well just buy a new plate........or better yet buy a whole new clutch kit.

who told you that clutch was brand new? that does not look remotly close to a new pressure plate
hot spots are caused by excessive slipping/dumping the clutch. even if you can get someone to machine that pressure plate for you chances are it will be under spec since they have to machine quite a bit to get the blue/black hot spots out......and if they machine too much you will not get the proper clamping load on the disc and then it will just slip constantly......
take better pictures of the pressure plate surface so we can get a better look at it.....also take pics of the disc.

that clutch isnt brand new, you got ripped off.
if it was brand new, shouldnt it be clean.. did you miss all the dust and dirt on it?
i wouldnt even worry about fixing that, like he just said, it will slip.
go buy a new one. How much did you buy that one for?
there are no hassles with using a stock TOB, their better than the ones ACT provides you with.

bigger...the lighting keeps messin it up

like i said i bought a new clutch with a "lightly used" PP.
ohh i see.....the disc is new......the plate is used.........hmmmm.......i would just slap it it.......as long as the pressure plate surface is not cracked it will work.
you will get chattering regardless of the pressure plate surface since its a ceramic disc. Ive never driven one that engaged smooth to begin with.

Make sure you get some sandpaper and sand the surface of the pressure plate (try to get those hot spots off).......then get some brake cleaner and thoroughly clean all oils off of pressure plate before installing.....
For $140.00......that's a good deal.
If you are too cheap to get a new throw out bearing....just check to make sure your old one is not wobbly and feels pretty snug.
If you really want to do this right...change the pilot bearing as well on the flywheel.

I'd never buy a used clutch assembly. And you ALWAYS want to replace the throw out bearing and pilot bearings while you got it out. Thats the last thing you want to do is to have to pull it all back out again just because you took the cheap route...
Ive never heard of anyone resurfacing a pressure plate anyway, only flywheels.
