Honda S2000 vs Nissan 350Z!
Hi all,
I'm new here. I haven't seen any topics about this so I create one.
This fall, Nissan will release the new 350Z which also has 2 seats as the Honda S2000 and is similar in the price range (26k-35k). On the paper, the 350Z has more hp/torque than the S2000. If you have money to buy one, which one do you choose and why?
thanks.

Let the paper racing begin...
Sure both cars have two seats, but they are completely different cars.
The only question you need to ask yourself: are you shopping for a coupe or a convertable?
By the way, a Mustang GT has more hp/tq but they are destroyed time and time again if you have equal drivers.

Do you want video of straight line or track? Even paper racers will agree. Short of SVT badged Mustangs with equal drivers: stock for stock no competition.
Like Jerry said, they are completely different. High output 4cyl. roadster vs. a high output 6cyl. coupe. I would go S2K hands down, but I already have a practical car. If I only had a single car, the Nissan may be a better choice.
Thanks guys for fast response! For me, I just want a 2-seats sport car (either convertible or coup is ok). I narrow it down to S2000 and 350Z (I haven't owned any American cars so I don't consider the Mustang SVT either even though it's a good car I think!). I've owned an accord and an integra (also Honda) now and I really like it because it's very reliable and **** looking cars. However, the new 350Z also looks good too and it seems to offer more for the bucks. Some magazines just report that the 350Z can do 0-60mph in 5.4s. What is the number for the S2000?
Thanks for any input!

Well then it comes down to your taste. 350Z has more power/torque but heavier. S2k is lighter and better handling(on paper). I say wait till 350Z is on sale, test drive it and see if you like it better than S2k. Well, if they let you drive it. I like 350Z's new bold design better.
I would go with the S2000 hands down. But, really it comes down to what YOU want. The 350Z is fast, but rather mediocre looking and technologicaly unadvanced. The S2000 is comperably fast/slightly faster, in my opinion much better looking and the engine technology is incredible. Just my $0.02. Bottom line: Get the car that you like more, and will enjoy more.

..........BIEST..........i think so, not to be rude or anything, but your not going to get anything but a biest [I]opinion [I]if you ask a question like that on a HONDA forum, it's obvious.Personally i love the s2000 it is an awsome car, with very good look's (better than the Z..for now!) and with what 120hppl!! hmmm thats nothing short of amazing! As for the Z i think it will be great when it comes out.! Its exactly what S2000Dragon said get the car that YOU want!! not the one that other people like. As for the S2000 being faster that is just biest opinion, there is no way to know which car is faster, until this fall
!! ohh yah.. and the S2000 can run 5.2 0-60 "if the driver is really good"
i thought that it was 4.2?? i'll have to check that!! I used to think that the S15 and S2K were close but if the S15 runs 0-60 in only 5.6, it must not be that close after all!!
