Default First time at the track gsr integra. HOW DID I DO?

hey i just went to the track this wedsday pretty good expierience how you think i did

gsr integra

dc 4-1 headers dented to **** i need to put my stock ones back on the two bottom primaries are half closed

2 1/2 inch exhaust
knock off twin loop muffler

nex coilovers

and no spare tire

old street tires

best time was

15.126 et
87.513 MPH
2.327 60ft

other times were relatively close ranging from 15.126 to 15.318

except once the track became shitty to much tire on the track i couldn't launch anymore. They didn't prep the track and there was alot of rubber an tire on it eh.

well tell me what you think i was pretty excitied with the times. Need some new headers though my car is too low for mine.

just work on your 60' times. try not to just full on lay into the pedal as you are on street tires. practice and it will only get better.. or go buy some slicks and full on launch it and hit 14's easy... once you go slicks you will never want to run a street tire again!

What 60ft time should I aim for with normal street tires??

An what tire pressure should i run in them??

just wondering because I don't have money for slicks.

I need new motor mounts and a header first. Cause i can use those i on the street if i buy slicks i can only use them at the track.

An help would be much needed techniques on launching etc

those times are about right given the 60 ft times and all, not meaning to thread jack here, but, last time i went out to the track i had a 2.2 60 ft, in a 90 rs integra, stage 2 clutch, lightweight flywheel and a 4-2-1 header, with a sp2 knock off, but i only managed a 16.1, is it because the original owner put huge 17's on it or what?

Thats pretty good for an rs. An ya the 17 prolly don't help much.

The 60ft time was on street tires right? Thats a good 60ft

Damn i need to hit 2.2 on my street tires. What psi should i run in my street tires at the strip??

good job on the 2.2 60ft

i take about 10 psi out every run till I start to slow down, once that happens i put a lil more in there. I run 35 psi when im DD, i go to 25 at the strip, if i spin to much I take some more out, my psi for the best traction with my tires is around 20, so just experiment next time you go.

Pretty good, work on that 60ft and mess around with your tire pressure each round and see what will happen. I'm sure you'll get into the 14sec rang easily.

which track did u go to ? .. personally , i think that the 87 mph is a little low for a healthy gsr .. i hit a 14.9 with my gsr when it had i/h/e with a 93 mph and a 2.2 60ft at sears point, Sonoma about a year ago

yah my bottom two primaries on my dc header are really dented i think its affecting my top end flow. The two primaries on the 4 -1 the two lower ones are about half size my car is too low. hit a pot hole.

Sacramento race way

weds night drags the track is un preped since it free run.

yah also i don't have an intake just stock one with stock filter

So i kind of have just exhuast and hi flow cat.

Buyin new headers soon

you should run around 15.4 or 15.3 on a stock gsr.

And i launched around 2400 and i don't drop it. I have shitty street tires damn i need money to buy things ehh.

But with some nice tires you should launch around 2600 on good track conditions.

later in the day launched around 2000 since the track got shitty.

I donno thou my lauches arent that great.

anyone have any info on launching

gsr's with out lsds and street tires not drag radials or slicks

i have a 95 gsr and when i first bought it I ran a 15.1 @ 91mph w/ 2.3 60' on stock tires 23.9" 205/55/15. car was bone stock. that was in nov. of last year holding top of third gear across the finish line. During the summer I was running 15.6-7 and occationally 15.3 in the heat, with 22" 205/50/14 bf g drag slicks and 2.2-2.3 60' at 89mph. I would swap back and forwarth between them and the street tires. With the 22" i would be at 89mph and with the 23.9" i ran 91-92mph and it ran the same no matter what tire I had on it.

I put on a blox intake manifold and got it tuned with the stock exhaust, and it made 143hp, was at 140hp so not much of an improvement, during the summer.
Took it back to the track and ran the same times.

I put on 2.5" exhaust, from a local muffler shop with a magnaflow muffler, stock cat, drag radials. But this time I ran it in September once and it clicked off a 15.0.

Went to the track the sunday after thanksgiving, nothing different, and ran a 14.7 at 2.1 60' three times, a bunch of 14.8. total of 20 runs that day, plus what my gf did. all around 92-93mph with the 22" drag radials. I finally figured out how to heat up the slicks real good.

Just some refrences for you to go by.

good times

jw

what is a normal 60ft time for Stock 205 tires (i have dunlop direzzas that are bald) ?? Yah i have 205s i forgot the other numbers 205/??/?? prob what stock readings anyways i don't want to go out side and look at my tires.

BUt on stock you dropped your psi to 20psi?? does that affect your top end??

O so you ride out 3rd gear instead of shifting to 4th?? Just wondering because i shift into fourth right at the end of the drag?? Can i ride it out with the stock rev limit?

thanks for the replies
