Default technical shock suspension question

i have stock shocks on my car and i need to improve my launches. i was told that stiffening my rear suspension will help launches. can someone explain to me the technical aspect to this? also... these are my options.

i am interested in gettin some KYB shocks. i was thinkin about gettin some adjustable KYB AGXs for the front and regular GR2s for the rear. is this ok? the regular GR2 (nonadjustable) shocks are only $40, which is half the price of the AGX rear shocks. i want to get the AGXs for the front because i wanna be able to eliminate wheel hop and tire spin as much as possible by adjusting the dampening rate. also, the bay area freeways and roads tend to have unleveled pavement and potholes.. so im also gonna lessen the impact of hard hits.

1. yes it can help by reducing weight transfer to the rear of the car and assisting traction
2. I'd stick with the same brand/model of shock all the way around as manufacturers build their shocks as a system by tuning rebound/stroke for each vehicle's needs (unless this inst going to be as a daily driver, then go nuts with it)

my 2c

stickin with regular nonadjustable shocks should be good enough to handle the weight transfer rite?

i just need a stiffer suspension to help with my launches, but i dont want to pay too much for some shocks. i commute alot so it would wear em out faster than usual.

thanks for the 2c.
