slotted rotors...please help me out..
ok guys, I'm on a search for the best slotted rotors for my budget, etc...I've been looking at Rotora, Powerslot, and Brembo. I believe the Powerslots run for ~$250 for all 4, and Brembo's are even more I believe. As far as the Rotora's, I've found them on their company website (rotora.com) for $179 for all 4 rotors...I really like the look of the Rotora's, they're silver as opposed to bronzish type of color like Brembo's or whatever..they are also colored black in the center hub portion of the rotor, which i also especially like for some reason...
now my question is, what do you guys recommend for the money, i REALLY didnt want to spend more than $200 on just 4 rotors, has anyone had any experience with the Rotora's? I know its a little less common than Brembo or Powerslot, but i am curious. Also, who here has Brembo slotted and/or Powerslot slotted rotors on their integra? let me know if you have any 3 of these brands, and how they turned out to be...and also, let me know how much you spent for your brake setup, and where you got it from. Thanks guys

yehyup.. you can get the brembo corss-drilled and slotted rotors for $50 each. go to http://www.groupbuycenter.com and you will see it listed.
thanks for the replies guys, keep 'em comin...
i would like to go with Brembo, but i was given the impression they were way to expensive for me..the thing is, i do not want cross-drilled...only slotted...does anyone know where i can get the Brembo slotted only? also, concerning the Rotora's, does anyone know a good site to get them off of that may be cheaper than the manufacturers website...?

The concensus on this board is to go Brembo OE (not slotted/not drilled). They have shown to not crack or warp even under track conditions.
The Mclaren F1 uses drilled Brembo's. While I don't doubt Mclaren's talent in design for the entire braking system on that car...it's not really necessary for something like the integra. You'd be much better off making some brake airducts or working on making the rims draw in air (like the Porsche 911).

I got the Powerslot rotors.
They are actually slotted Brembos.
These Powerslot makes a low frequency noise underbraking. The pads are porterfield R4S and stopping power is great. However, I couldn't distinguish a difference between the Powerslot w/R4S and OEM w/R4S. And although they were coated they still rusted (see below).

Dont get slotted, realistically they wont really do any thing for you on the street. The slots will 'fill up' with dirt and grime and then you dont have slots any more, but you still have the metal missing meaning that they are still atleast a bit more prone to cracking over non-slotted/drilled rotors. Seriously, the slots only might help vent gases when used hard on a track, then they might help a bit against fade, but otherwise not really. The slots are not really worth it, so a lot of research and you will find this out. Just my opinion (and that of many others) though, c-ya.
hmm i've got brembo blanks and Hawk pads.. I like this setup and got it from http://www.collettimotorsports.com their like $28/ea for the fronts (blanks/solids) and $20/ea for the rears. shipping is $10/ea.. but if u order 4 at once.. they knock off $10... I'm pretty happy w/ this setup ... didn't cost a lot.. works well.. I also flushed and bled the brakes w/ Valvoline synpower dot 3/4..
The reason slots fill up with crud is that they scrape the pads with each pass of the rotor, which equals shorter pad life.
Get a good pad, like Porterfield R4S (have these), or axxis ultimate (don't have these) and good tires rather than slotted rotors that A) are structurally weaker B) lose effectiveness over time and C) eat pads faster.
