Just painted my amber corners
hey, i just finished painting my stock corner lights orange, they're still wet but so far, im not too impressed, did this happen to anyone else? and did they come out fine after they dried?
yeah i did, i put a coat on, waited about 1 min, then another one, i think i did 3 coats in total. should i remove the paint and try it again? or should they come out fine when they dry? and what would i use to remove it?
thanx

yeah it was orange, if you put like 3 coats on, its a little darker orange that looks just like amber.
also, am i supposed to clear coat the lights after the orange? the lights are slowly starting to look better

Mine looked like those when the paint was still wet, but they came out fine. I have them and love the way they look. I did my stock corners and then put an amber bulb in the part that was originally clear and a clear bulb in the other part. This way at night both lit up the same shade of amber. But if you did it on clear corners, I'd recomend using amber bulbs, because it'll be a deeper color.
the first time i painted my taillights all red but i masked the reverse lens, it wasn't red at all it was smoked! then i decided to redo it and spray on a really light coat but you could still see the amber. recently i redid it again and this time i sprayed on two coats of amber then i sprayed it with the red stuff. it came out the way i wanted to be...ALL RED tails. but from an angle it looks smoked I think it looks neat. also when you signal its no longer amber its red i'll take some pics
hey man those corners are looking sweet. one guy on here did his tailights red, and he said after you use that krylon paint, use an automotive clear coat for protection. but i think one of you already said to go to a hobby store. so peace.
if you wanna paint your taillights red too, go to this site -> http://www.homemadeturbo.com/tail.html they have all sorts of info about it. and thanx for all the compliments everyone, ill post some pics of them on the car after the rain stops.
heres a picture with the corner lights in place, the hood wasn't completly closed when I took the picture and the headlights were completly bolted in so it may look a bit out of place, but its a general idea of what it'll look like.
