Default HID owners, where did you mount your ballasts?

I've seen them mounted on the abs unit (but I don't have abs) and the spot where I currently have an alarm horn. I was just worried that these are areas that I have seen water splash onto after washing my car or after raining. Does anyone have alternative mounting locations and has there been problems with water making contact with the ballasts? TIA

My ballasts are sealed. So you can just mount them any place they won't be in direct contact with the elements.

well, if you have jdm front-end (if you have teg that is). the housing of the non hind headlight are identical to hid ones...

The optics are not the same, though, for a halogen headlight housing vs HID headlight housing. The optics are what cuases the variances in color among OEM HID on different brands of cars.

no they arent.. the HID projector is way smaller, and the optics are different.. halogen bulbs arent ARC lights.. the optics arent designed for HID on the non HID housings.. if you look at the HID ones..the projector is tiny.. like an Audi one..or an S2k..or any car with OEM HID projectors.

even the outter one is different..
HID housing has a smaller projector & the lines dont go through the whole thing.. there is a circle around where the projector shines..
NON HID has a big normal sized projector and the lines go all the way through.. i'll post some pics.. so you can tell.
