or just pickup an ls bottom end and throw some rods and pistons in it. not to mention its cheaper to do that then to stroke the b16a

If you wuld have read...you would have relized that he said B16A not B16B so he can no use those cranks

and to the OP you can use a B17 crank out of the DA integras but I would also say LS bottom

Easiest B17 crank/rods/pistons

Best 89mm crank, B16 rods, custom pistons

yes i do thats why i said get decent rods and pistons.

my bad, i should've said get Custom sized rods/custom pistons.

FYI, ive done this myself.. but on the expensive side by getting a 1.8L toda stroker kit for B16A way back in the day

You can run an LS crank, B16-length rods and custom pistons with the wristpin raised half the difference in stroke between the B16A and LS motors.

Or you can run a GSR/ITR crank, B17-length rods and off-the-shelf pistons designed for a 95mm stroker motor from what I understand.

The cool thing about the B16 stroker is it will give you a fatter powercurve than a longer-rod motor with the same stroke due to the increased piston speed.

Contact someone on here who is a dealer for a piston company. They'll have a piston company listed in their sig.

So can it be confirmed that a LS crank will drop into a b16a block? I know back in 04, Tech 43 had some custom Arias pistons to use with Ls crank and LS rods in a B16 block, but above it was stated that a LS crank and B16 rods with custom pistons will work?

Assuming you can drop in the LS crank, are b16 main bearings and LS main bearings the same specs?

I am saving money to put a stroker kit on my B16, but i would like to know from who did it to their car and if it was worth the money..what would the best stroke 84.5mm, 87, 89mm what would give me the most power and torque... I plan on staying with 81.5mm piston and using some skunk2 pro 1 cams...please any input

LS crank will go in a B16 block with B16 rods using custom pistons. Rocket designed some pistons for someone to do this. No problems like some of the Tech43 setups either.

I live overseas so how difficult is it to buy an LS CRANK how expensive??? and how about those pistons difficult to get? This type of kit stroke can handle how many rpms??? Since the other stroker kits are forged would that necessarily mean you can rev to 9rpm on them without worry?

you should hit up Tech43...he 'built' a 2.0L B16 NA motor that made like over 200 whp on the dyno...for like 3 passes...and then it seized. apparently, he forgot to put in the thrust washers in the motor

You'd just have to source a LS crank. I can help you with the pistons. Rev to where it makes power, which won't be 9k.

Just get a ls block with aftermarket rods and forged pistons. By the time you stroke the b16A you will have more money in the b16a then in a complete ls and have the same torque.

Is there a law or something when it comes to importing? If not, I'd just get a 1.8 block.
