Sounds to me like pans are still needed, but the stupid diaper isnt needed.

In that case, I have a RCI SC Engine Diaper for sale!

I'd like to see the weight penalty be removed for Xtrac trannies in Hotrod.

Ha ha, SFWD get their way again. Great for the class. Still the SPORT REAR class get shafted. The only rule change caters to the 2 or 3 cars running the class and temporarily keep them from running 8 sec times. But did nothing for the other cars out there waiting to get in and compete.

So much for getting more cars in the class. I dont think deciding on what turbo size is whats keeping the other cars out. Make rule changes to get cars into the class, Hello.

Still thanks for the other class rule changes.

This is going to re-open the gates to many many more cars who want to compete in the sport-fwd. I smell 25+ cars at the spring nationals 2008 trying to qualify for the 16 car field.

How do you guys interpret the new wheelie bar rules for FWD cars? I think it means the wheelie bar wheels can touch the ground after the car is pre-staged, right?

I didn't realize this was illegal before, but preloading the driveline does make the bars touch the ground.

you do realize we still must have a pan right guys. i know someone mentioned it above, but the way i read it is that we just dont need both for next year. i guess someone should call pat to clarify.

It would seem to look like you do infact still need atleast the pan, but it's better then the OVER KILL pan and diaper. NHRA

haha, are you living in the future? can you see dead people? can you tell me what the lotto #'s will be this weekend ? you were 4-5 days ahead of time on your comment last week about this rule

I think that is a good rule to modify -- it was going to be a huge pain in the rear to run both the catch pan and diaper -- a well built catch pan is quite effective at its job so this will make it a bit easier on those looking to compete

unfortunately the same rule of thumb applies here -- those who are racers would of adjusted to the diaper and pan rule and still been racing next year without a hitch -- those who are bench racers would of used it as another reason they don't race -- now those bench racers will have to think of one more excuse for next years races as to why they won't be able to make it out
