Alright so I bought myself a civic hatch as another project car. So the first thing I do is hope on passwordjdm and bought some suspension and the "vis" carbonfiber duckbill spoiler. Well when I got the spoiler yesterday I was a little surprised to see it arrive in a box that says MADE IN CHINA since ViS is located in south california. When I pulled the spoiler out the finish looked good, but no built all that great. Now here is the messed up part. I went to put it on the car and it total didn't Even line up right ( check out the pic's). My cousin was laughing at me cause his $150 one he bought of eBay looked and fit better then this "vis" for alittle over $300. Have you guys ever ran in to janky stuff like this from passwordjdm.com all i know is this was the first and only time i'll buy stuff from them.

 

i never really appealed to their overpriced selection, i would return it.

 

I bought my vis hood from password a few years ago
Its pretty much 3rd rate.
I called, bitched, blah blah...in the end they said that vis never got back with them in time, so I was stuck with it and they'd give me $50 credit for the store.

I REALLY believe, after seeing so much of this from them, that they do not actually sell vis, like youre seeming to beleive, but some cheapo knockoff in a vis box.
Call now, dont wait another day.

However, you also have to be aware that all body parts like this (hoods, wings, etc) may or may not ever fit well, no matter who the manufacturer is.

 

Wow, I bought a ViS duckbill back in 2001, and it was the exact same quality! You'd have thought they would've worked on making it fit better by then. On a side note, after my ViS duckbill, I got a Megan one, and I was dumbfounded at how well it fit, and how flush it was. AND!!! The Megan one was half the price of the ViS one. I still think ViS makes good hoods, but then again, I haven't seen them in the past few years, and why not support any other new upcoming company that has more to lose than ViS, thus having to step their game up and bringing a ">ViS" product to the market? Bottom line, when it comes to duckbill wings, flushness and gaps comes first on the priority list, and then the quality of the CF and layout.

 

i don't know I guess I just expected alittle more from a company that's is suppose to be know for upscale quality parts. but like I said I don't think they even shipped me a real vis spoiler due to the words "made in china" written all over it. All i know is im done with passwordjdm. It may not be totally there fault, but it just makes me think they stock more crappy stuff that dont fit your car right. I mean common for alittle over $300 you think it would fit alittle better ya know.

Yea thats password for you. The only thing i would buy from them is the motors to do rebuilds. If you plan on running there motors..... DONT!

Yeah, my buddy runs the webpage there... that place sucks ***. Everything is overpriced and ****... I mean, look at those "JDM" smoked turn signals that were going for some insane amount.

I carry vis products and never seen a fitment issue like that. Does it have the vis badge on it? I would shipp that back asap.

first of all..theyr way overpriced and ive been burned by them b4. i bought a carbon fiber 3piece mid spoiler for my 95 hatch and it didnt exactly fit right either.
i returned it and got my money back but i wont buy from them again after hearing that they seem to burn ppl alot

Im just surprised to hear all this thrashing; I guess they got worse throughout the years of business. They were more than glad to replace a part that was damaged in transit, and they did not set up an RMA; they just sent me a new part, providing that I sent pictures to them for proof.

Anyhoo, I guess the business ethics got worse, and they probably made too much jdm cash, so their service and integrity went . In my opinion, I still think they are a worthy sponsor, and I'm sure they will solve your problem by replacing or crediting back your hard earned cash. Call them.

All this $@it is made in china. And I am an ebay ***** which refuses to pay for the brand. I bought no brand CF hood and for the past year I have no complains. Same as my "knock off" tri Y header for 200.

I say return it, but then they will probably make you pay for shipping so you will be in the hole, and you will end up keeping it.

Otherwise I will say PATIANCE!! Most of parts on my car I bought used, if you wait the deal will come around, it just takes time.

They played the **** out of my gf when she tryed getting me jdm side mouldings for my coupe.

Sent her hatch ones, we called them to tell them they fucked up and sent them back to them... Then they said coupe ones are on back order for 2 months we said fine..expletive it we'll wait....

3 months goes by, we finally call in, and we get a "oh they've been in stock for 2 1/2 months, let us get those out to you" FKN GROUND!!!!!!! you think we'd get overnight at least!!
