New pics of my Type R
My Type R has been undergoing major changes these last few months.
Used to look like this:

I did a full rebuild of the motor last winter : Sleeved 2.0L with forged internals
I added the IB intake manifold and changed my cams from Toda Bs to Skunk 2 Pro 2s
Then a local guy (a H-T member some of you may remember) sold me his JDM front end with J's racing fender flares and HIDs in exchange for my USDM front end so he could sell his car in more stock form.
I also picked up a set of 16x8" Volk CE28Ns with 225/45-16 Yoko A048Rs
Most recently I installed the T1R 70mm exhaust mated to my Hytech header.
Engine looks like this:

After installing the JDM bumper support and front end - I no longer had clearance between the FAL fan and the Hytech - so I had to get a shop to cut back the bumper support so the rad could be tilted forward for clearance.
I also had to remove the wheel liners to fit the bigger rubber.
I'm also using 25mm wheel spacers on the front now cause I tubbed it out so much.
And finally the whole car got a fresh coat of paint.....
Here's the result:

I think it looks dope now - the meatier tires are da schizz.
I can't believe the change in front grip I have with the wider track and bigger tires - the car handles very differently now - turn in is amazingly quick.
I still have camber kits that are to go in the front and rear. I'm also planning to upgrade my injectors from 310 cc to 440s and get a full retune on the dyno at the end of this month.
I also found a set of used Mugen bushings (the entire set!) from a local guy and plan to put those on too.
I'm just running out of time to drive the car and $$ to throw at it.
It's amazing though - how a fresh coat of paint and new front end TOTALLY change the look of your car. More amazing is how the handling changed with the new wider front track
Thanks to Driver's Edge Autosport, A& J Racing, Save-on Autobody and Garage 5 for getting everything together for me.
BPR - who was looking at this car......

for most of the track day....

All I've done since the motor is break it in and to a street tune.
The 310s are close to maxxing out - so the plan is to put in 440s before spending money on dyno time.
I was also waiting to see if my mechanic could figure out a way to get RDX injectors to work - but since that will need a custom fuel rail to be made - I've decided to go with RC 440s instead.
Car goes to the dyno on the 25th...
Camera is a Nikon D200 with Nikkor 18-200 VR and 70-200 VR lenses. It was a cloudy day - so the colors in the pics are kinda flat - but I used an EXPO disc for WB and am very pleased with the results.

I loved your caR before and it's even better now.
If that isn't perfection then I don't know what is.

It's owned by my friend Brian.
He also has a 997 Twin Turbo, 997 GT3 RS, Lotus Elise, Porsche Cayenne and a mint Ferrari Dino.
He says its very "tail happy" at the track.
The car sounds so ******* amazing going down the track - I've been bugging him to bring it - but he's too scared of cracking it up/putting mileage on it. He uses his GT3 RS for most track days.
His garage is sick sick sick.

New exterior looks great, I really like it. It's different too, something that I really haven't seen before in terms of fender flares and lip in combination with the jdm front. Very nice

Crazy thing is he's 30 years old.
Extremely modest too. Very nice fellow. Total car nut.
I think his family in HK is really wealthy....like a lot of folks here in Vancouver BC.
