Ever heard of spraying water in your motor to clean it?
Here's my whole story/situation...
My car had a skip for a while (3 months)... Replaced ALL KINDS of stuff, and finally got it running right...
So now my car is spitting oil out of the exhaust... I figured rings... So I do a compression test, and all 4 cylinders are leaking... So then i dump oil in cylinder #1 and do a compression test... still leaks...
So i'm leaning towards valves... So i'm talkin to somebody here at my work, and he said since i had that skip for so long, i could have a carbon buildup on my valves... He said it was a common problem on old Ford Tempos... Here's what he said to do in order to try and fix it... Grab a Spray Bottle, fill it with water, pull the intake tube off, and rev up the car to about 2500 rpms, and spray water inside of the TB... He says this will clean the carbon out really easily...
I have heard of this process before, but have always been unsure about it... But i seriously trust this guy... What do you guys think?
BTW... When i pulled the plugs to do the compression test, they were WHITE on the tips, with a heavy carbon buildup around the threads.

I have used water and ATF. what it does is the steam shocks the carbon out of the motor. Take the PCV hose off the PCV valve, rev the engine up to 3 grand, and put the hose into the water or atf. pinch the hose so it doesnt all go in at once. then spray it into the throttle body while running at 3 grand. you have to spray it FAST, I would say 1 quart in 30 seconds, to have any effect. good luck.
wait... take the hose off of the PCV or the other end of the hose so the water goes in through the PCV? Is this required or am i just better off just spraying the water into the TB?
get a water mister or something...and then have someone rev your car a mist water or better yet denatured alcohol...misting not squirting! into your throttle body.
take the hose off the PCV valve and stick it into a bottle of water. miasting water does NO GOOD. My 91 talon 2.0 sucked a 1QT bottle of ATF empty in ten seconds! any faster than that you can hydrolock the motor.
