one last question, what is a good store or website for car addon's / accessories?

You won't beat your friend's grand am if it's a V6 - you can probably take the 4 banger grand am if you have a 5sp though.

The best way to get power with 500 bucks is nitrous.

There is no "good site" for car add-on's or accessories - it depends what you're looking for.

Certain stuff has different sites for it.

save that money and save some more for the swap
dont waste your money on d series engine
u will go for b series swap sooner or later..
and at the end u will realize how much money u wasted on your old d series engine
like how much i regreted now.

Don't waste your money on that car.

If you really feel the need to, save up for more than $500 and buy an ebay turbo kit.

If you knew anything about cars I would say to junkyard turbo, but you wouldn't know what to look for.

Good luck with whatever you do.

Nitrous X110000

All you need. Get it semi-tuned and it will last you a bit.

Tuned, should last a lot longer. Also, no bigger than a 100 shot.

just accept the fact your buddies grand am is faster than your car. then accept the fact that your car is slow. then save your money. then make your car faster than the grand am.

I agree with others that say save your money, as $500 won't make it go much faster.

But, if you got to scratch the itch, I recommend spending that money on suspension. Won't make you go faster; but, will be more fun for $500 and perform better.

leave the five hundred bucks at home all that weight is slowing you down...

sell the civic and combine that money with the 500 then buy an eclipse turbo that would be the best way to burn the jean claude grandame

that might be possible, but if someone has to ask they will never accomplish a decent setup or even barely tune it properly for $500

when i had my sohc motor i added some bolt on and it felt really good, but i wanted more. then i realize y did i spend all that money when i could have been saving it. U really wanna beat your buddies car hands down, then save your money and go with an h22, h2b, or K series. But save your money.

take your 500 and buy a ps3
wait for gt5
cause that's the only chance you have of touching a fast car with 500 bucks.

$25 for a nice ball bat... take out the grandam

if you like the car itself, save up some more money, and swap... or do a junkyard turbo setup...

found this in a honda-tech sig.. "97 Ex Sedan White - 13.3@107 D15Y7 Powered by Holset@9psi. Wrecked."

so apparently you might be able to have some fun with that

best bet would be the swap ... then turbo
