well i got my hands on some 6000k Phillips HID's yesterday. i snapped a couple pics real quick. i haven't been out on the road duriong the real dark, just a little past dusk. the things are great. the shine so white it is unreal.

in the pics i compare the new HID's to PIAA superwhites. i did the 9005 conversion on them as well.

If u don't really care about blue tint that much, I recommend get the 4300K from Trevor (visualdynamic.com)

 

Definitely...his service was nice and I don't think that there is a significant increase in brightness between the 4300 and the 6000k. Trevor is definitely the way to go.

DO the 6000's burn out quicker? Why would you get the 4300 model?

 

4300k produces more usuable light then the 6000k.

 

whats more usable light mean?

 

4300K is brighter than 6000K HID, but 6000K HID have more of a blueish tint
HID bulbs last a longtime

Great choice on the Philips 6000k kit, I love mine!

 

odd , did you use some kind of filter on the picture? the 6000k phillips bulbs are purplish in nature, not blue, as depicted in the picture.
